MAC is one of my favourite strains to smoke. Let's see if it will be one of my favourite strains to grow.
Germination involved soaking seed overnight in distilled water and put between two sheets of paper towel and dampened - put that into a ziplock baggy inside a shoe box for 36 hours. Transplanted rooted seed into pete pellet and it sprouted within 24 hours. Moved to a net pot and 5-gallon DWC bucket about a week following.
MAC aka Miracle Alien Cookies was created by crossing Alien Cookies with a cross of Starfighter and Columbian.
MAC presents itself with a complex terpene profile that invigorates the senses with strong citrus and floral scents with earthy sweet undertones.

End of second week of veg and the MAC is looking good.
Roots are long and white and those big jurassic, DWC fan leaves are starting to form on the plant.
EC/PPM has been very stable. No big swings. A slight increase in nutes with today's rez change.
More news next week 📰
The MAC is doing well and has taken off in the past couple of days.
She was a bit droopy looking early in the week - PH was running high at about 6.6. Following some adjustments she's looking much more perky. Rez change today with a slight increase in nutes.
I FIMed her a few days ago and she's recovering nicely.
Her tent mate, Godfather OG, is about a week behind in her grow cycle so I'll wait til she's a little further along before flipping the lights. I'm thinking in another week.
Thanks for stopping by ✌️
The MAC is looking great - full and round following 4 weeks of vegging.
I did a bit of defoliation early in the week, removing the elephant ears that were covering the new bud sites following the FIM. She's filled in nicely since.
Light flip to 12/12 tonight; ready for those pretty flowers. Rez change today with the removal of Grow and the addition of bloom/flowering nutes.
Looking forwarding to weeks ahead and hoping for a big MAC attack ✌️
One week since the light flip to 12/12 and the MAC is on her way. The stretch has begun, and she's grown another 5" since last week.
Remo's Bloom and AstroFlower have been added to her mix along with some Sensizym. No big swings in PH or EC. Everything has been in range and she's looking pretty healthy.
More news next week ✌️
The MAC is growing very well. She's grown 5 more inches since last week and has a really nice shape and structure.
Rez change today - same routine as last week. EC has been right between 1.4-1.5 all week. PH has been running 5.9-6.3. Smooth sailing.
More news next week. ✌️
The MAC is doing great. She's grown about 10" since last week.
She'll have no shortage of tops that's for sure - some nice size pom-poms forming at the moment.
Rez change today. Same regime as the past couple of weeks. She looks pretty happy.
More news next week. ✌️
The MAC is looking great. She's through her stretch and has topped out at about 30" which is just fine - very compact plant.
Bud sites are plentiful, swelling and stacking nicely. I did more pruning this week, cleaning up a bunch of side branches under the canopy.
EC over the past week has been around 1.5. She got a rez change today and a bump in nutes - EC 1.8.
More news next week ✌️
The MAC is doing pretty well for the most part.
Noticed some light rust spots starting on a couple of the upper leaves and decided to check the equipment before making any other adjustments. Turns out my EC meter was reading low and my PH meter was reading a bit high. Recalibrated both and changed the rez yesterday.
Buds are swelling and getting fatter every day and are plentifully spread out throughout the canopy. I've been doing my best keeping the undergrowth cleaned up to keep energy focused to those tops.
More news next week ✌️
The MAC is plumping up nicely, getting more frosty, and finally overcoming her previous lockout issues (and my laziness).
When I discovered both my PH and EC meters were out of calibration a couple of weeks ago I should have given her a 24 plain water flush immediatetly, but stupidly, I did not. Earlier this week I noticed more brown tips on the leaves and the dreaded rust spots becoming more prominent throughout the plant with EC levels continuing to rise. I finally got the hint and flushed the plant. After 24 hours I gave her a fresh rez and she is now feeding again normally with her EC now sitting in the 1.3 range.
EC: 1.3 - 1.9
PH: 5.9 - 6.5
More news next week ✌️
The MAC is doing her thing, getting fatter and more frosty as we get into the final few weeks. Hopefully, past issues are behind her.
More news next week. ✌️
The MAC is starting her fade and continuing to get plumper and more ripe. Trichs throughout the plant are mostly cloudy with some amber just starting to appear. Perhaps another 7-10 days until harvest.
EC: 1.2-1.4
PH: 6.0-6.4
More news next week ✌️
The MAC is taking her time getting to the finish line. Still lots of bud beneath the canopy that could use more time to ripen and tighten - I should have been much more diligent about pruning more undergrowth earlier on. The tops look good though, buds are tight with lots of milky trichs and some amber starting to show.
No rez change this week but I am feeding her occasionally, every 4 days or so, and I add about 2 litres of water/day to her rez.
EC: 1-1.1
PH: 5.7-6.2
More news next week. ✌️
Rolling up to the end of the road for the MAC.
Some nice chunky buds and ripe tops; starting to see more amber tricks👍 Unfortunately, it looks like there will be more larf than I'd like, but that's due to some poor maintenance on my part. The plant is dripping with bud but not all of it will get a chance to ripen. Fodder for edibles, creams, and hash making is always welcome though. It won't go to waste.
Giving her a quick flush of plain water and FloraKleen and I'll likely take her down by the end of the week.
Stay tuned for the harvest report ✌️
MAC being one of my favourite strains to smoke, I was really excited for this run.
She was pretty easy to grow and I encountered no real issues, other than those of my own doing, by letting my EC and PH meters fall out of calibration during late veg/early flower. She bounced back once I made adjustments.
She got pretty branchy and I wasn't nearly diligent enough keeping things tidy. Consequently, I ended up with quite a bit of larf on the plant.
At this stage the flavour of the smoke is akin to MAC I've smoked in the past, but the flavours are not as nearly pronounced at this stage of the game. I know she'll improve with more time in the jar. I have more MAC seeds to try from another breeder, so I'm curious to see how they'll stack up.
Thanks for riding along on this journey. ✌️
