Trying my hand at another new strain, this time around we'll be growing Godfather OG. Sounds like this could be a good one.
Germination involved soaking seed overnight in distilled water and put between two sheets of paper towel and dampened - put that into a ziplock baggy inside a shoe box for 36 hours. Transplanted rooted seed into pete pellet and it sprouted within 24 hours. Moved to a net pot and 5-gallon DWC bucket about a week following.
Known as the “Don of all OGs,” Godfather OG is an indica cannabis strain that produces buds that are dense and frosted with a plethora of trichomes. Its scent and taste are of pine and freshly churned earth, with sweet undertones of grape. The parent strains of Godfather OG is a cross between the indica Bubba Kush, indica L.A. Confidential, and indica Granddaddy Purps.

The Godfather OG has moved out of the exciting seedling stage. Roots not quite broken through the net pot at this stage but it shan't be long! She's moving along.

FIMed her a few days ago and did a bit of defoliation. We'll give her a few more days to recover and then flip the lights over to flower.

The Godfather OG is coming along pretty well.
I actually flipped the lights to 12/12 a few days ago as I didn't want the MAC growing next to her to get too much bigger. My next update will be a few days early just so I can sync up the flowering weeks properly for this diary.
No issues to report - she seems pretty healthy and has recovered well since her FIMing. I put her bucket up on the old booster blocks to bring her canopy more inline with the MAC - she's about a week further along than the Godfather.

One week since the light flip to 12/12. The Godfather OG has just started showing some early signs of flowering but hasn't really started her stretch yet; only modest growth since last week. She should be taking off soon.
Remo's Bloom and AstroFlower have been added to her mix and her PH/EC have been really stable all week: PH 6-6.2 and EC 1.4 (700 PPM).

She's very round and compact. She's just at the start of her stretch, but I don't think she's going to be a tall one - I actually had to boost her up a few more inches to bring her canopy even with the MAC.

The Godfather OG is doing great.
She grew a few more inches since last week, but is about done her stretch. She's a stocky little beast at 22" tall. She has a lovely collection of bud sites and things are developing nicely.
EC over the past week has been around 1.5. She got a rez change today and a bump in nutes - EC 1.8.

The Godfather OG is doing well. Things are starting to swell and getting frosty.
Noticed some light rust spots starting on a couple of the upper leaves and decided to check the equipment before making any other adjustments. Turns out my EC meter was reading low and my PH meter was reading a bit high. Recalibrated both and changed the rez yesterday. Hopefully, no further issues.
Hacked out a few more of the lower branches to keep things focused on the tops. She's looking good.

The Godfather OG coming along... getting more frosty, and finally overcoming her previous lockout issues (and my laziness).
When I discovered both my PH and EC meters were out of calibration a couple of weeks ago I should have given her a 24 plain water flush immediatetly, but stupidly, I did not. Earlier this week I noticed more brown tips on the leaves and the dreaded rust spots becoming more prominent throughout the plant with EC levels continuing to rise. I finally got the hint and flushed the plant. After 24 hours I gave her a fresh rez and she is now feeding again normally with her EC now sitting in the 1.3 range.
EC: 1.3 - 1.9
PH: 5.9 - 6.5
I did more clean up of some side branches and undergrowth. She's looking to be in good shape for the finish barring any further issues. Hopefully, those are behind us 🤞

The Godfather OG is looking pretty sweet as we head into the home stretch. Buds are getting fatter and more firm and are very frosty. Trichs are mostly cloudy throughout the plant with the odd bit of amber. Another 7 days or so until harvest.

The Godfather OG is looking, and smelling, pretty damn fine. Just waiting for the buds to finish ripening and looking for the appearance of more amber trichs before harvesting.
No rez change this week but I am feeding her occasionally, every 4 days or so, and I add just under 2 litres of water/day to her rez.

Final few days for the Godfather OG. Colas are fat and ripe and amber trichs starting to make more of an appearance.

The Godfather OG was a pleasure to grow. She produced several nice, tight, resin coated stacks.
She was pretty easy to grow and I encountered no real issues, other than those of my own doing, by letting my EC and PH meters fall out of calibration during late veg/early flower. She bounced back once I made adjustments.
I hung the plant to dry whole in the tent at about 62 degrees F at 60% humidity. I pulled her after 7 days and trimmed her out before putting the buds in glass mason jars to cure.
