October 30th @ 6:00PM, dropped two seeds in two glasses of water
This will be my first grow.
I have a couple years experience with greenhouse veg.
So basically a step above beginner, what ever that would be...
Water being used is from deep well. We have ALOT of calcium in our water.

Oct 31, 2022 - Monday
Dropped two seeds into two glasses of 21°C @ 8:00PM
Let sit overnight

Nov 1, 2022 - Tuesday
Checked @ 8:00PM - Tap roots just starting on both seeds.
One seed had a much more visible taproot then the other.
This is the Tommy cup
Planted each seed, tap root down, in its respective cup with 22°C pre-moistened organic potting soil with perlite.
Seed was covered loosely with remaining soil
Turned on inkbird heat mat
Closed grow tent
Checked the soil temperature every hour to monitor soil temperature
soil rose to a max temp of 22.3°C by 11:00PM

Nov 2, 2022 - Wednesday
Checked soil temperature in early morning: 23°C
Here at work typing up this during "break"
Just got home from work, Soil temp 24.5°C (unplugging to get temp down a tad)
I have wifi power outlets that im going to set this weekend
Ordered inkbird humidistat/temp - Don't trust the shit one that came with the gear
Plus I will be able to setup alerts and remote monitor.

Nov 3, 2022 - Thursday
Checked early morning soil temp. 23°C
Thermostat set to 22 °C
Soil is still moist, will give a drop of water tonight
Check dinner time, ambient grow tent temps were 25
Unplugged heat mat
Decided to turn on lights. 30 inches away from plants and turned fan on medium setting
Checked 20 minutes later, ambient temp 26°C
Turning up fan and will check later
Later is now here (10mins) 25.8
It is going down will monitor
I need my new humidistat temp thingy NOW
Thursday evening...
As I am learning, there is a bit of a learning curve to get this grow tent to the optimal conditions
Tweaking my new setup to give me a humidity (around 70%-75% maybe?)
Having alot of trouble reaching high humidity in the tent. Placed 5 bottles of open water and soaked a towel and hung on the side of tent
Setup my TPLINK Kasa smart plugs
I have the ventilation on one, lights on another and heatmat on the last one
Setting the following:
- Lights on 6:00AM
- Heat mat off 6:00AM (Reduce temps in daytime due to led heat)
- Ventilation on at 6:00AM
- Lights off 10:00PM
- Heat mat on 10:00PM (increase nighttime temp)
- Ventilation off at 10:40PM

Nov 4, 2022 - Friday
Checked plants this morning, humidity was decent but still need to be higher
Temperature was 27 deg, which I thought was high
Checked my settings on the power schedule (Low and behold I fucked up)
I had PM where AM should have been
Ventilation was not on when the lights came on (caught it very soon thanks to OCD)
Remote monitoring my plants from work its now 7:53 AM and the reading on the stat is 26.3°C / 53%
I am getting where I want to be but still need to adjust
Will add another hanging wet towel - I now know I am going to have humidity issues, and I never had to control it like this - fun and interesting
I guess I should get a humidifier if I cant use DIY methods
9:14AM 27.3/50
12:00PM checked vitals (26.7/47) - noooo good
added a second wet towel and closed her back up
Checked vitals at 1:00PM 26deg/61% (pretty close)
I have to be carefull not to burn her up.
I turned on the fan and within minutes the humidity dropped 10 points and temps to 25.6
I think even with the fan on at the lowest setting removes too much humidity from the tent. Will setup schedule to cycle inline fan with smart plugs
Is this even a normal thing someone would do? Does anyone have these answers?
Is there something else I could be doing? I guess a humidifier or cycle fan with timers and wet towels.
1:26pm --->26.7/67
Changing on off cycle of Ventilation. On once every 2 hours for 10 minutes. Will try that to help keep temps/humid in check
One seedling has helmet head. Will try to gently remove tonight along with some water
Top layer of soil is almost dry as a bone so may have to water when I get off work, will check and see
Evening
Temps are ranging from 25 to 27.6
humidity 40 to 70
I have setup the inline fan to come on every second hour for 10 mins.

Nov 5, 2022 - Saturday
Picked up some plant spray, Cannabix rx. Started misting, give them a very subtle boost
Getting the temps and humidity figured out
Installed a large box fan at the bottom facing up. Circulates air in the tent very well

Nov 6, 2022 - Sunday😚
Misted multiple times throughout the day
Plants are coming along nicely!

Nov 6, 2022 - Monday
Little bigger!

Nov 6, 2022 - Tuesday
Little bigger!
Have the temps/Humidity to my liking.
Remote control and viewing is extremely convenient

Nov 7, 2022 - Wednesday
The humidity bags are working nicely in keeping up the humidity.
Remote control and viewing is extremely convenient
Hello nice setup for the beginning. This is the first time I've seen two sprouts from one seed. This is amazing! You are ultra lucky. Good luck with your cultivation, I wish you a huge harvest! :)
Small tip: in the beginning you do not need to use a filter. It will unnecessarily absorb moisture and wear out. My plant began to smell more clearly only after 3 weeks of vegetation, and I still did not put a filter. It will also relieve the burden on the fan.
@Hooman, Gonna look at that, didn't know that existed. Fuck man you learn so much with this plant.
One question, should I be leaving my fan on continuously? I have it on an hourly schedule - On for 10 minutes, then off for 50 then turns off 10 minutes after lights turn off
The fan was sucking all the heat and humidity out of my tent given its location.
@danmanv2, Mainly it has an anti-odor effect, yes. If you have a good phone you can try an app to measure ppfd levels, it's called pffd meter and I'll give you a little download as to growing conditions.
