Double Grape - Mephisto Genetics

Plant was stunted from earlier on due to overfeeding. Still getting the hang of growing in coco. We are on day 49 today and the DG has been flowering for about 3 weeks. Its been turning more and more purple for the last two weeks. Its stacking weight and I am hoping for an early finish in the next 2-3 weeks. Artificial Grape terps smell amazing. Today is day 56 from sprout. Double Grape is really packing on more and more weight each day. The tops continue to turn purple. Im hoping that I end up with at least and ounce but the plant is very small from being stunted earlier on. A lot of the trichs are mostly cloudy, very few amber, and not many empty heads left. Each day more hairs are turning orange. I think the koolbloom is helping her finish early. I am really hoping that she finishes early sometime in the next two weeks. The plant is giving off a sweet smell when I open the tent. The smell becomes artificial grape if the plant is moved. I think I am going to be very happy with the terps after cure.

Today closes day 63. I think the koolbloom is really helping her to finish early. She has been chugging along this past week and is gaining a lot of weight. A ton more orange hairs everyday. There is not a super strong smell unless you brush on a bud or stem. Very sweet grape smell. Took the smallest larf nug as a tester. It tasted like pure sour gas. Im hoping the artificial grape taste comes through in the cure, but either way I know I wont be disappointed with this smoke. One bowl got me sufficiently high. A nice uplifting / creative type of high. I see hardly any empty trichomes left. Im going to give her a few more days to get a little bit more amber and then I will be cutting her down. Realistically, I could probably push her another week or two but I am slightly worried about the bigger colas molding. Also, I am out of bud and this is a much needed harvest. I am running a perpetual Mephisto tent. My humidity and temp are middle of the road so I can keep everyone happy, which is another reason why I harvesting sooner rather than later.. I think I am looking at day 65 for a harvest. My Sour stomper is the same age as the Double Grape and I think she is going to need until day 84 to fully ripen.

She took a lot of abuse from me earlier on in the grow. I was on the fence with letting her go longer than 65 days. But there were a few contributing factors for why I ended up harvesting. I was worried about the dense buds in a high humidity environment. And I found 3 aphids on the plant while inspecting it. I coudlnt find any eggs when I took the plant down. I smoked a larfy nug and I got pure gas and no artificial grape taste. Im hoping the grape terp profile comes out in the cure. She weighed 4 oz wet, so I think I am looking at about an oz total.
