I actually started this batch in Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil.
I'll add details in later weeks but after healthy intial growth they started going sour in the soil. I eventually washed roots and migrated to cococoir/perlite with nutrients.
Slow growth and ugly leaves I had to do something. Only my second grow but was convinced the issue was high acidity. Partly informed by a too cheap soil pH testing kit.
Anyway I washed the roots, trimmed any rot away, replanted in another less acidic soil mixture.
Week 5 shows little sign of improvement, still showing increasing signs of stress. My 3rd indoor grow I'd been playing with automated watering and decided to jump in with Coco coir.
I also ordered my AutoPot about this time..
LAST WEEK OF VEG.
Spent 12 weeks vegging before flowering kicked in. Main-line is very stressful with multiple toppings at young age. But builds stalks like hulk that feed massive equal size buds, no popcorn.
This rocks, coco coir is the way to go, AutoPot is magic for a chronic over waterer like me who doesnt want to do the pumped hydroponics. These girls are flourishing under General Hydroponic Feed, no longer trying to touch the light and filling out nicely. Upward growth has stopped.
🙏Well not too bad ay!? Coming up real close to harvest here and the flowers look great, massive and stinky. Trichomes not quite amber much, but nice haze. Concering with leaf health though more than normal fade, these girls are giving up the ghost and need to be chopped soon!
Only 1 made it, but proud of my first attempt at main line manifold! The chocolope smells like a wonderful rotten pineapple and pine tree, can't wait for cure.
Yeeehaw!!
#s 3 and 4 to harvest and both also main-line/manifold and I am sold! THese buds were massive stinky ol things. I'm a classic outdoor grower and grew up wet trimming, so these were drying on a mesh rack in a 2x2 tent to control humidity.
