March 28th:
She's still standing. I tried to take some trichome shots, but i'm not sure how well they are. It's my first shot at it, so cut me some slack!
I gave about two gallons of water this week. I'm not sure if she's still drinking a lot, or if the pot getting dry faster is due to a few degree increase in temperature. All of the water was straight well water, not pH'ed. Which reminds me:
pH of water doesn't matter when using living soil. The pH of the Soil is what matters. pH in hydroponics makes sense because the water is where your plants will pick up nourishment. The medium for hydro IS the water, which means your water needs proper pH. In soil, the pH is due to all the calcium, magnesium, micro and macro nutrients and minerals that are in it. That will create a pH in your soil. Now, you can also get a high pH in your soil due to sodium build-up. This isn't what you're looking for, as sodium build-up in soil is a no-no.
Now, for the fun fact: If you have a low pH in your soil because you don't have enough calcium, pH'ing your water isn't going to do anything. You gotta fix the soil problem, which will correct the pH of the soil, and trying to use pH'ed water isn't the solution. You'd have to add more calcium to your soil to fix it.
Anyway.
Light intensity is still at 100%.
As you can see, i've got some floppy branches on this cultivar. I gotta admit, i love when branches start floppin' around. It tells me that the plant is close to harvest! Just gotta wait on those trichomes to get a few more amber, then she'll be ready to chop.
She's still only showing fade ever so slightly. The purple hue is nice, but i wish it would become a bit more pronounced. Maybe it will over the next few days.
EDIT:
Edited to add a picture of the full plant and a video that didn't upload when i made this week's entry.
@GYOweed, gosh, I hope so. I'm worried my pictures might hold me back, though. I wish I had a better camera. The photos I've been taking don't do this plant justice.
@Ju_Bps, me too, I love giving a plant a few months to grow. And thank you!! She's been a blast to grow, so far and has a faint, very interesting black pepper like scent. I'm excited to sniff it in a month. ๐
Congrats on your win.. well deserved
Your links generate the same way mine do.
Do you have any idea why they're tagged to our openings in a browser? I've never had them. My links use to be so simple until I joined here.
@gottagrowsometime, thank you, I truly appreciate it!
I think they switched up being able to share links due to all the spam and scam postings in the questions, but I'm not too sure, honestly. I shared the links just to prove you can grow amazing nugs with an all budget setup, so I never really paid much attention to how or where they pop up. Do you have any ideas on why this might be happening?
