Yesterday, we placed our 2 Bubba Kush feminized seeds into our cup of water for roughly 24-25 hours before we seen actual progress. Today is the third Sunday of November, and we have switched our seeds from the cup of water to the paper towel in a ziploc baggie. Our house gets sort of cold where we live, and we decided to use our space heater since it has a timer and temp setting and placed our seeds into our grow tent with the heater and plan to check back in on them in about 24-48 hours. Brb!

This is officially our first week since Marlei and Noble Steed emerged from the soil. It took about two days before we first seen any progress. We’re still trying to figure out how to raise our humidity to a consistent 45% and possibly invest in a small heater to raise our tent temperature since it’s winter time here. We haven’t really been using much of any nutrients just yet, mostly just watering with a 6.5 pH maybe every other day or so.

We’ve been experiencing a lot of busy days in our schedule so our posting and updates have been very scarce. We’ve kept up with our grow the entire time. We typically give our grow a gallon of water at 6.5 pH, typically room temperature, and because it’s our first grow we’re sort of allowing the plants to take their own course sort of. We only pull the yellowing fan leaves, and any debris to avoid contamination. Other than that, we typically water every other day, and add nutrients as explained on the back of the bottle (flora-gro/bloom/micro and Fox Farm Cal Mag+ when needed).

After a pretty bad storm here, we’ve had to revive both plants because our vent was blocked with snow that we were unaware of for about 24 hours, so our tent wasn’t getting any air out of the tent. The plants were badly wilted, and super yellow. We added our nutrients as designed as well as cal mag+ and monitored them very closely going forward. Since then they’ve been thriving, I believe we put them in an aggressive vegetative stage because they’ve grown up to the light in almost 2 weeks from given nutrients and fresh air. We officially flipped them to flower today, raised the light 30 inches and also plan to turn the fans down soon before week 10.

Alright everybody, I’d first like to appreciate everyone who’s been giving nothing but positive vibes and encouragement along this journey. We don’t update as often as we’d like to, but we make sure not forget either. So here we are at week 14 in our grow (5 weeks into flower) and let me tell you, it’s been a journey for us as first time growers. I don’t list the amounts that we give our plants of the nutrients because we tend to tinker with the numbers a bit to see how they react after that watering. We ensure that our pH is 6.5, as far as the nutrients we typically follow the basic guidelines listed on the back of our grows but with a little adjustments of our own. Due to our tent being 5 ft tall, we’ve noticed that our light can not be raised any higher than what it is already. We began using twine to tie down certain branches that were touching the light after some of our leaves began getting burnt from touching the light. But for the most part we are focusing on removing any branches who have no buds showing from the lower part of the plants as of week 5. Currently most of the plants are going to grow beyond the light which we are proud of as first time growers, but we want to ensure that every part of our plants receive the amount of light required to ensure a proper grow as well as a decent yield since we are coming towards our last few weeks before harvest. Until next time, and happy growing to everybody.

Well as you all can see, we’ve been getting closer and closer to harvest day and I must say, the grow looks pretty good, and smells even better lol. We’ve been monitoring the grow a lot lately. We’ve removed all of the branches who had no buds showing as of week 9, removed any dying fan leaves, and sort of trimmed the plants to ensure most of the nutrients taken in will apply itself towards buds, rather than more leaves and height. I would estimate a possible 4 more weeks until harvest, but we shall see. Both of our plants have grown to 4 feet in most spots, and barely eye level to myself (6ft) in other parts. Overall though, we’ve cut our humidity out to start to remove some moisture from the tent to ensure we have no mold or any other discrepancies before harvest day. If you guys have any tips and tricks that you think would help around this stage we are very much so open to all comments. Thanks for checking in on the grow, and happy growing to you all!

Well, we are a few days early from our usual updates, but we are approaching are final weeks of flower and starting to prepare for harvest. We’re going to start flushing this week, but just trying to figure out the most efficient technique for the best results. If you guys have any tips and ideas we are open to all suggestions. But in the meantime, take care, happy growing, and we’ll update soon!

Hey what’s up grow gang, we’re approaching the final weeks of flowers, but I was curious as to if our grow is ready to be flushed, or if they possibly need another week of nutrients, and also the best flush technique for best results. Thank you for answering in advance!

Bubba Cush recommends 65 days of flower so a week before that straight water phd and you should be fine to chop.if the trichombs are 80% milky

So, we took a little trial and error based off our grow question last week. We decided to start flushing because we have already hit our 63rd day of flower, but had a lot of white hairs and some amber ones forming. We flushed our plant on the right. We felt like we jumped the gun a bit, so we let them dry and try to rebalance them out to ensure no problems as we are approaching our final weeks. This week we decided to start giving both plants pHd water at 6.0 instead of the 6.5 because our water pH has been a bit high in our area lately. Since the flush, we’ve been monitoring them very closely, but with more amber hairs forming we have a lot of yellowing in the leaves as well. I’m hoping it’s because of the flush, and not a virus, but I’ll be sure to keep you all updated. If you have any concerns or suggestions we’re open to all help. Until next time, and happy growing everyone!

So this is after about week two of feeding the grow with just pHd water at 6.5 (+/- 0.1) and defoliation of the bigger fan leaves as well as some of the lower leaves where we have smaller buds. Canopy is fairly open, most of the tent gets a fair amount light equally throughout all areas besides the branches that grew above the light. This week going forward we are going to be giving them both regular water since the runoff water from the bottom of the pot is mostly clear with a slight tint of the nutrients still left over in the soil. We’re going to give this grow another 2 weeks of grow with strictly regular water until harvest. Until then, we’ll be sure to update throughout the harvest because that should be the next time we post on this diary, and then a few upgrades, tent maintenance, and materials and we’ll be on to our second diary. Happy growing, and good luck to y’all!

This week we just received our grow tent water pump to help pull water out of our tent during flushing. So both plants have officially received a flush, our goal was 0 ppm before we felt comfortable. We’re working on figuring out keeping a stable 60 degrees as well as 62% humidity for our drying stage. But, after tinkering with the thermostat and vents we’ve gotten the temp down to a consistent 68-72 degrees in the tent depending on if we’re allowing heat into the grow room vents. Besides that stuff, the buds on these bubba plants are beautiful, dense, and very rosin like or greasy as I like to call them lol. We have a lot of buds on the lower part of the plant, they’re looking alright, lord of amber trichomes on most, but I’m not sure if they’ll be ready in 2 weeks, but let’s trust the process, and see the outcome. In the meantime, Happy growing, and good luck to you all!

Alright y’all, we finally figured out our lives, and got things together with the grow lol. We’ve flushed them both, and they were beginning to go limp and couldn’t really hold themselves up. So after the flush we gave them their 48 hours of darkness. We did a wet trim of the more prominent leaves, and hung them whole in the tent. We don’t have any sensors so we’ve just been constantly monitoring the humidity trying to keep it at around 58-62% humidity range. We were a bit nervous because we went from a pungent candy smell to instant hay. Did some research and realized that the hay smell is normal in the first few days of drying. I believe today is day 3 of drying and the buds are getting pretty firm, and pretty frosty close up. We have 9 days before we attempt to move them into the jars to cure for 2 weeks possibly or more. We’ll be sure to updated yall with our opinions on how the grow turned out after dry and curing. Overall for our first grow it was a fair challenge. We encountered a few problems via nutrients comprehension, and cannabis education. I would say it wasn’t to picky towards our watering schedules, and any stress we’ve put them through. But I’d recommend this strain to all beginning growers because this strain is very forgiving. Also, we made it a whole 4 months and not a single infestation on our indoor grow, and no mold so far during the drying process. Other than that, I’d like to thank everyone for their advice, support, and tuning in to our very first grow that is officially in the books lol. Until next grow y’all, be safe, and happy growing🤝🏾
