Day 1 Fri 11/18/22 - One seed popped after 48 hours in a damp paper towel. The other looks like it might pop in another 24 hours or less. We'll see. Day 2 Sat 11/19/22 - Taproot about 1cm, so I planted in a plug and put it down by the tent in the dark. Spritzed just a little water on the top of the plug. Day 3 Sun 11/20/22 - Nothing visible coming out of the plug yet. Spritzed with a little water and covered with clear plastic bowl. Day 4 Mon 11/21/22 - Seedling popped through the soil today and two leaves started to appear! Put it under a 60w CFL bulb and covered with clear plastic cup. Day 5 Tues 11/22/22 - Took some advice from the great people who answered my question yesterday and removed the clear cup, watered a little (maybe a tsp or so), and put the CFL bulb about 5-6 inches above the leaves. I can't believe how fast these things grow! The other seed never popped in a paper towel, so as a last ditch I threw it in a shot glass of water and will see what happens. It sank right to the bottom, but I'm still not confident it will ever pop. Day 6 Wed 11/23/22 - Just wow. Growing so much. Switched to a 40w 5000k LED bulb about 5-6 cm above the leaves hoping to reduce the stretch with the lower wattage. Day 7 Thurs 11/24/23 - Still growing and leaves getting bigger. Day 8 Fri 11/25/22 - leaves getting way bigger. Stretch has slowed with lower power light placed closer to the plant. Day 9 Sat 11/26/22 - Nothing new to report. Still 24/7 with the light in the same position as always.

New grower. First seed. Seems to be going fine with seedling popping through soil after 2 days. Now under 60w CFL about 6-8 inches above the plant and a clear plastic cup covering it. Any tips for keeping it alive and thriving? Been spritzing with water 1-2x/day.

I would remove the plastic cup as soon as the sprout breaks out of the soil. If it stays to humid you promote mold/fungus which can cause the sprout to "dampen off". Only reason to have a dome is to prevent your soil from drying out while the seeds taproot is still small and can easily dry up. Happy Growing

D1 Veg-10 days after germination, I transplanted the plug into 1 gal fabric pot today. Filled the pot about half way with coco coir, washed it, and mixed in about 1/3 tsp of Dr Earth fertilizer and 1/8-1/4 cup worm castings. Made a hole for the plug and also buried about half of the visible stem. Prior to transplanting, took note that many roots were visible and looked healthy (see pics). Will keep a close eye on it tonight because I'm afraid transplanting and putting it under the more powerful light with the introduction of 80% humidity in the tent might shock it a little. Also raised the pot up about 8" above the other three that have 10-11 day clones in them. D2 Veg-Looking great after the first night in the tent! No noticeable issues. Watered along with the other plants, which got a tea of water, CalMag Plus, Recharge and worm castings. Keeping elevated so it's closer to the light than the other plants. D3 veg-Not much change since yesterday. Watered in about 1/3 tsp of Dr Earth fertilizer. D4 veg-Added water and raised the light up 2 inches. Starting to see more leaves popping out on the top! D5 veg 12/1/22-Just watered tonight. Looking great! D6 veg 12/2/22-Looking great 15 days post germination! Gave it the same thing as the other three plants (all clones) tonight: added the following to 1 gal water then divided equally, with one quart for each plant: .5 tsp recharge, 4 ml cal-mag. Used that to water in 1.5 tsp Dr Earth fertilizer mixed with 1/3 c worm castings and 1 c coco coir. D7 veg 12/3/22-Just watered tonight. Looks good, though a little dry so I unrolled the fabric pot to keep some of the air from the fan off of it tonight.

Could catch up to the clones very quickly at this pace! Raised light up 1". D10 veg 12/6/33-Looking great 19 days post germination! D11 veg 12/7/22-Just watered today and raised the light up 2" so it's about 10 inches above the tops of the plants. D12 veg 12/8/22-Just watered today. D13 veg 12/9/33-Gave it the same thing as the other three plants (all clones) tonight: added .5 tsp recharge & 4 ml cal-mag to 1 gal water, reduced pH to 5.9, then divided equally, with one quart for each plant, watering-in 1.5 tsp Dr Earth fertilizer mixed with 1/3 c worm castings and 1 c coco coir. D14 veg 12/10/22-Just watered today and raised the light up another 2" because the 3 clones are growing so much

W6D1 veg (45 days post germination)-Just watered today. W6D2 veg-Added 1 tbl Dr Earth, 1/2 c of worm castings and 1 c of coco coir and then watered in with 1/4 of a gallon of water that had 1/2 tsp of Recharge mixed into it before setting the pH to 5.8. W6D3 veg-No water today so I can dry the soil out a bit due to noticing fungus gnats the last few days. Scraped the algae off the outside of all the pots, sprayed the soil with neem oil, covered the soil with diatomaceous earth, and put a yellow sticky trap just above the soil in each pot. W6D4 veg-Just watered today.

Crazy week. While I was working on getting rid of the fungus gnats I took a look at the top layer of the medium with my digital microscope and noticed a very large amount of microscopic bugs, white to off white, maybe slightly brown, with bulbous backs, crawling around in the soil. Continued to give water a from the bottom for a few days while fighting gnats and these bugs at the top with neem and dryness. Nothing was working to reduce the population of microscopic bugs, so I turned off the oscillating fan and applied diatomaceous earth to the top layer of medium in all the plants. That helped with the gnats, but not so much with the microscopic bugs, so I sprayed water with peroxide (3:1) on the top of the medium and stopped watering for two days, which almost completely eliminated all visible bugs in the medium. Fed the plants on 3/7 with Dr Earth and Recharge after 9 days without giving them any nutrients. Looking at trichomes through the scope, they are mostly clear with about 20% cloudy and 2% amber, so I'd say I have 2-3 weeks until harvest, possibly more.

3/11/23-I'm guessing I have 1-3 weeks until harvest, so I trimmed most of the fan leaves today. 3/19/23-Day 74 of flower and I chopped them and hung them to dry now that the trichomes are about 15-20% amber across all the plants in the tent. Prior to chopping, I stopped watering and giving them light for 48 hours, and I last fertilized 12 days ago in an effort to flush the medium before chopping.
