Day 48:
- Shuffle some plants again to give them better spots.
- Did defoliate again to make sure the lights can reach lower buds.
Photos and videos where taken before watering, thats why the leafs are not lifted.
Nothing special this week.
see you guys next week.
@love_2_grow, 2-4 weeks veg depending on strain and kind(sativa or indica) with 18/6 light. After that I forced them into flowering by having 12/12 light.
Made sure Ill still give them veg nutes for another 1-2 weeks as well, while going into preflower.
Flowerd them for another 7 to 10 weeks depending on strain, looks of it and such.
ill veg my sativa's most of the times like 2-2.5 weeks because they will grow double there size while flowering, so there is no need to veg them for 3-4 weeks or even longer LOL. You will end up with branches touching the lamps/roof.
or cutting all your upper branches which is really painfull to do.
For Indica's I like to veg them 3-4 weeks, make them bushy since they won't grow big and love to go to the side, so they have to veg longer.
Yes just 140 seeds, If you only knew how many seeds I have done in just a single grow or made/bought clones you would be thrilt ๐
Not to even mention the size of rooms or total weight at the end. Lets just say i love to grow as well.
@GanjaReaper, "just use 140 seeds" lmao
BTW I meant in your past photo SOG grows, did you 12/12 or veg those? Anyway, I also prefer to run my autos 20/4
@love_2_grow, Since they are autoflowers I can keep them even under 24/24 light if I want too, but I'm not that kind of grower.
The plan is to keep them under 20/4 lightcyle ( might do 18/6 if i'm not happy with it). Hope them to veg for like 3-4 weeks until they go into flowering by themself,
if not I have to push them into flowering by giving 12/12 light for a couple of days, it happend before.
Yes start with many and only use the best. This space can hold 140 plants like this, so I should had more seeds but it is already alot of work.
So I decided to just use 140 seeds, hope for the best and if 10-15 don't open ( good quality seeds), ill have more free space for my humifier and to walk into ( a path) LOL.
And ill just get rid of all those premade pots which couldn't be filled with opend seeds, it doesn't bother me, the substrate in thoose pots, i can add above the remaining pots, since cocos like to sink a bit.
@Ju_Bps, I know right, I never done 3L pots as my main pot, I did coco slabs thought with like 4-5 plants each in it, but usually I never go below 7L pots.
The question is, is it posible what I have in mind with my grow in combination with autoflowers or only with photo type.
We will find out ๐ฑ
Make sure to hit the water consumption rates needed to yield numbers. 3 gallons in 24hrs to produce 1 dry pound of cannabis at peak consumption. This can be 1 plant 10 plants or 100 plants, But that is how much water will need to be consumed every 24hrs to produce 1 dry pound. This equation is around 99% accurate and scales all the way up. 6 gallons for 2 dry pounds, Etc. It is important our plants are actually able to hit these consumption rates & not just over-water them. This is why we want to focus on big strong root zones to be able to ensure they are thirsty girls later down the road in flower. More root, MORE FRUIT my friend.
@GanjaReaper, im using 11 and 15 liter pots indoor for autos, and 5 liter pots for start for photoperiod ones, and later move them to 15 liter, outdoor i like use 20l and 40 liter pots :)
but now, just for experiment im usung some 5 liter pots for autos too, but now im going again for breeding and seeds, not the flower size is the target with this session for me.
i just asked you because they looks crazy for this small pots :)
@cannabiscult_cc, 3 liters. I didn't plan it to have the plants as big as they where haha.
This was because of a couple of reasons. Stretching due heat, a base nutrient line that had veg nutrients in it as well, i could not HST them like topping, because they are autoflowers and will panic and more reasons.
They should had been like 50-60cm maximum haha, most of them went at least 1,5m and some even higher. The plant will take a hard time to send all the nutrients to the top of your plant
even thought having not much roots because of the small pots. Gladly it worked out for me a bit, but not as i'm used too.
If you fully want to copy what i made, you should get at least 7L pots, meaning you will have less plants but your quality buds will be better and more compact.
At the end of this diary i will explain what i liked and what i disliked about this experiment grow.
Thanks so much for sharing this diary!
Hoping it was a nice experience for you, the Cherry Cola Auto is a favourite ๐
Enjoy the harvest and let us know what you think
Have a good one ๐
@Grower202085, It is not. If you 100% want to follow the schedule of Canna, it even says 1.5-3.5 ML per Liters of water in even the seed/rooting phase lol. In week 2 it is recommanded to even use 3-5 ML per liter.
Seedling do not need much nutrients early on, but because of the cocos substrate i needed to find a middle way.
Calmag can be used in the first weeks indeed, I do it often and will do it as well in my new diary, since those are clones and have many leafs already.
Giving calmag too seedlings, a new plant sort to say that has alot of strenght in it and doesnt need much nutrients early on( no clones of clones of clones), doesnt make any sence to me.
If you have seen my diary properly, you will notice i did grow on cocos.... Cocos doesnt have any basic nutrients like normal soil has.... Therefore you need to feed even more, which i did not...
Cocus doesn't store feedings, your plant needs to uptake that which you give it at that time. Therefore it is even recommanded to use a dripping system instead of randomly hand water them.
It was more a short of then it was a lockout haha.
If you would have seen week 3, that beneeth the plants, the leafs started to get yellow, indicating it should had more nutrients because they where absorbing from the buttom leafs, it was more of a shortage.
Also I always test my run-off. It was perfectly fine but in week 3 it had a high PH and low EC because my friend took care of them the wrong way.
