This run I am finally popping some captain redbeard genetics! I have 2 feminized gassy cream cake from him. I’m also popping and 4 regular Saturn citrus from equilibrium genetics. I ran this strain last winter and only got one female but it was straight fire. I am hoping to get another pheno that is similar.
11-20 dropped in water for 18 hrs
11-21 planted into solo cup with fox farm ocean forest
11-24 all 6 seeds sprouted used 1 ml of liquid sea weed in a quart spray bottle. Added small amount of recharge to first watering.
11-25 temps are sitting at 75 and humidity is at 69
Girls are going good. I don’t have an intake fan on. Just have one fan blowing inside. I’m using the trashcan with the fish tank heater to make the humidity.
The girls are getting bigger and starting to grow faster. Gave them a diluted, compost tea yesterday forgot to take pictures just a regular compost tea with some fish emulsion added this week coming up I will probably transplant into 1 gallon containers.
These girls are growing super fast temp 75 during the day and between 60% humidity and 70% the girls got transplanted about five days ago into 1 gallon containers filled with Foxfarm ocean soil today and day 21 started to low stress trade because they are just getting too tall. All girls were topped 3 days ago. I’m happy about the vigorous Grove, but I’m going to run out of room in a month and my flower town will not be ready for six weeks.
12/11-all girls were transplanted into 1 gallon containers with Foxfarm ocean forest
12/14-all of the girls were topped
12/16-all girls were low stress trained
This week the girls reacted good to their toppings. The branch development has started to slow down the growth. I have lowered the humidity and that has seem to help everyone is healthy.
Girls are definitely out growing their 1 gallon pots. I really wanted the Saturns to show sex so I wouldn’t waste space and soil transplanting them. I have to other clones in the tent that I have to move to free up room before I transplant.
The girls definitely out grew their pots. Can’t really amend in such a small container so the girls and 1 gallons are getting a light feeding of general organic veg, nutes. I am waiting for the Saturn citrus to show sex. I believe numbers four and two are females so I transplanted them into one and a half gallon containers. Ever since I dropped the humidity way down, they definitely have slowed down in growth The temps should definitely be warmer, but I’m seeing if I can get away with not having a heater going hopefully by next week the last to show their sex, and I can transplant and start cutting clones.
All transplanted into 1.5 containers about ten days ago. 3 females one male for the Saturn. Don’t know what I’m gonna do with male probably trash her but I really like the structure and smell.
Added a bigger light 230 watt quantum board and I have it at 60%. About 20 inches away.
Gassy cream cake needs some type of silica product the stems are to flexible for how old they are.
Just waiting for the big tent to open so I can transplant and flip these girls. Brought the humidity back up and temps they are growing like crazy now
Put the girls in the bigger Tent I’m going to transplant this week and take some clones then flip to flower debating if I should put them in 3 gallon pots or 5 gallon pots my tents really not big enough to run five plants so I’m thinking that 3 gallons might be the best option
Trans planted last week in to root’s organic 707. Used some mycos in the whole. This was my first time that I had a rough transplant. They just wouldn’t bounce back and started to get yellow.
Lately I have not been checking my ph because it comes in around 7.3 and i usually don’t use ph down and let the microbes do the work. But I think since they were in 1.5 gallon pots for so long there really wasn’t much soil to buffer. So I brought my ph down to 6.2-6.4 the last couple watering and started using fish shit and the color is starting to come back!
In the next couple days I will take clones and flip. Saturn #2 has an amazing stem rub a really pine citrus’s smell. But #4 I believe is the same pheno that I originally wanted to find
Finally flipped these girls I missed last weeks update. It’s now day 7 of flower I changed the lights on 3/7/22. But two weeks ago I tried using surge by roots organic and man did the color come back to my girls. I’ve only used it twice in 2 weeks with amazing results.
Last night I gave them their first bloom tea. Use 1 tbs of terp tea bloom ,1 cup casting, 1 tbs molasses and 1 tbs of surge. Today they are praying!!
Still really don’t have much of a smell but I’m sure it will come on soon
Girls are doing great! Really enjoying the controller 69 and in-line fan from ac infinity. I have it constantly on the lowest setting and when the temp gets above 78 it brings the temp back down to 73. The humidity is usually between. 40 and 50. So I stopped issuing my humidifier.
Topped dress with Gia green 2-8-4 and water with recharge
So far the gassy cream cake has no scent. But the Saturn citrus on the other hand is smelling crazy good. Definitely a lemon pine scent on all of them
Girls are really starting to flower. They are drinking every other day. This week I did a terp tea bloom and I’m starting to add silica every other watering
The terps are finally here all three Saturns have a similar citrus pine-Sol . Extremely loud. And both gas cream cakes have a sweet candy like aroma. Earlier in the week a did a small top dress with terp tea bloom. I wish I waited on it because they need their last big top dress now as well and I don’t want to over do it seeing how they are looking great. A lot of purple is comming out of the gas cream. I don’t believe it to be a deficiency . I think it’s just genetics. I think this will be my last run in small pots I think I’m going to move on up to ten gals. Now they girls are drinking everyday or every other. This week I will do there final top dress
Girls got their final top dress feeding a 2 days ago. I’m about a week late on it. If they go 9.5 weeks will be ok. The gas cream. Cake is fading to a nice purple. And it has sweet candy terps. The Saturn is stacking up and reads of lemon pledge cleaner. Extremely loud.
Week 6 of flower I think we have an issue. Haven’t noticed any bulking in the flowers in the last two weeks. The gcc has slightly but the Saturn hasn’t at all. The Saturn is staring to fade into a light green yellow witch is normal. Also they are not drinking as much water as they usually do where last time I ran them that did t start till week 8.all they got this week was recharge one day and silica on the other. But we will see I have about 3 more week I think. Probably give them one last terp tea bloom tea
Start of week 9 and the girls are just about done. Think I over watered the last two weeks. For some reason I feel like they don’t smell as dank as they did a few weeks ago. Maybe I’m just getting used to them my wife says it still reaks!! Gonna be chopping the girls down in a week days. The gas cream could of been chopped last week but I wanted the Saturn to finish
These two girls grew in the back of my town with very minimal attention. I only had them in 3 gallon pots. I got about 2 ounces off each plant of top shelf didn’t even trim the larf there wasn’t much. I would definitely recommend Captain Redbeard’s genetics.
Escrow is fairly easy but I don’t know what happened after week six they never really swelled up the last time I grew this strain I had rocksolid buds all the way down the stem this time I got a lot of larf. The one thing I would do differently as I would defoliate a lot more and I I would flip two weeks after transplanting into their final container for part of the reason I think they didn’t get a good stretch as they were in their final container, vegging for too long, and there wasn’t any room for the roots to grow. Sadly, I am not keeping any of the clones. They were good they just weren’t that good.
