Hi!
I’m back on a new cycle, this time with another cultivar from Feijao da Roça called Moby Dgusta Pine.
Four seeds has spent 24h on a glass of water and after they sank I planted them direct into 4 cups of soil (general purpose mix, wormcasting, perlite and vermiculite).
Two of them sprouted two days after and I’m waiting for the last two to pop.
The light panel is brand new and it’s composed of two panels and one power source. The panels are actually two quantum boards with 120W each, totaling 240W, the chips are Lm301h Samsung + 660nm Osram.
I can say that I’ll have to learn how to deal with: 1) two panels instead of one; 2) the dimmer; and 3) the boards distance from the canopy.
I’m using the same greenhouse from the last cycle (80x80x180cm) with the same soil bed (150L) filled with 120L of the same soil amended with 5L of worm castings, 2 cups of rock dust, 1 cup of gypsum, 1 cup of shell limestone, 1/2 cup of neem meal, 1/2 cup of bone meal and 1/2 cup of bokashi. I watered with an AACT diluted by one part water one part tea.
I sparkled some cover crop seeds, covered with mulch and let the soil cook for 1 week (while the plants from the last cycle dried).
I’m trying to keep the humidity high, using a homemade greenhouse and the Sonoff sensor to turn on and off the humidifier. Humidity has been between 70-85%.
Let’s hope for a 100% germination rate this week, and a peaceful and prosper cycle!
