Moby Dgusta Pine

Hi! Only two of four seeds sprouted, so I planted four more seeds of a different cultivar: Moby x Harlequin (CBD). I used the same method on the four new seeds, it has been three days since the seeds went to soil and none of them sprouted yet. I adjusted the light panel lower, the first two seedlings got a little bit etiolated. I had to learn about PPFD and DLI, I downloaded an app to measure (it promise to be very accurate, but it still is only an app that use the standard smartphone camera not a real device). By my measures the PPFD are about 350 and DLI are 23. My researched shown that the correct values are between 250-400 PPFD and 13-20 DLI for seedlings. I’ll keep track and watch the real effects on the plants and adjust accordingly. One plant had a deformation on the first pair of real leaves, one side stuck to grow while the other fully developed the complete leaf. I hope this deformation do not occur anymore. Because of the etiolation, I had to use some straws from the mulch to support the plants to grow straight, they were falling down. Every new cycle beginning makes me learn a lot, this one is not different. I’ll try to fill the canopy with four plants from different cultivars, that’s also new to me.
