Starting the first grow in the tent. Very very excited to get it underway as old man winter comes. Have some very neat strains underway and look forward to growing+ reviewing.
This week was very interesting to say the least. A few hiccups in the road are always expected, especially just starting indoor grows. The first problem started when I came home from work after leaving 12 hours earlier thinking I had set my two seeds up for success…… the equipment I was using to run the massive 4x4x6 tent had blown the breaker in my garage😑 leaving the seeds to what I thought died but more on that. I then look on Amazon for the tent that can get here the fastest so that these plants have a stable grow environment. I find myself purchasing a little 2x2 tent and la Di Da I friggin love it.
The tent has the perfect amount of room for what I’m looking to do and since now I can fit it in my room I don’t need to go to such an extent to keep it warm.
The tent is a AC INFINITY.
After bringing the seeds in I put them on my shelf to maybe warm up and possibly grow after the almost freezing situation. I did do something different this grow as when I have grown outdoors in the past I germinate the seeds in paper towel but since I’m trying a new grow method I thought I’d try just by placing the seeds in soil after 12hours in a glass of water. Thinking the other seed on my shelf wasn’t gonna grow I placed yet another seed into a bottle of water for 12 hours and then placed it in the soil. So this is around Day 5 out of the first week and I had no visible sign of growth in the tent or on the shelf seeds, untilllllllllll I got home that night from work and send the shelf seed had sprouted about half an inch!
Thrilled about this plant sprouting I take it over to the tent to place it in its forever home to see the other seed had sprouted too. This was huge and means we are in the road to growing some straight GASOLINE ⛽️⛽️⛽️
Hello all,
Nothing crazy this week other then some slight burning on the bottom leaves.
I set the light lower to the plants however I later noticed the plants where super dry and burning so I I pulled the light back up and the plant has grown some nice fat leaf’s.
I have two Grape cake walker seedlings however I’m thinking the smaller one in the back will be taken out to give room for the single plant.
I’m looking into putting a humidifier into the tent to keep my RH up and keep these girls nice and happy!
I planted some wild herb seeds to help the soil and I’m having some good success. Have one dill seedling and hoping for some basil!
Hello all.
Unfortunately this will be my first and last indoor grow.
There was a fire in my tent and a risk to burning my house down.
This will be my last grow as the fire ruined a lot of my supplies and if they weren’t burnt they are not covered in fire extinguisher. The carbon filter is caked with it and will likely not work again, the light is covered in the dust
The fire tore a hole through the top of my tent like nobody’s business, lucky my mother was home to smell it and extinguish the fire only to also extinguish my dream of growing indoor cannabis. God bless my mom for saving our home from this.
Everyone please be careful as this can happen to anyone. Right before the holidays too this is nightmare fuel for all fellow growers.
I wish the best to everyone else and hope your grows go great
