12/8/22 -- Well like my other Fast Buds plant this run, this one has a little bit of leaf weirdness, not as bad as the 20:1 CBD, but still there. Hopefully she grows out of it as she gets bigger.
So this is in a Clackamas Coots recipe from BAS.com. Half the ingredients aren't in the nutrient list.
I planted direct to soil, but I made a cup shaped impression filled with Sunshine #4, and put the seed in that.
The soil mix that is used is this:
7 gal worm castings
7 gal sunshine mix
2.3 gal BAS rice hulls
4.6 gal BAS pumice
1.5 C DTE kelp meal
1.5 C BAS neam/karanja
1.5 C BAS crustacian meal
1.5 C ground BAS narley barley
6 C BAS basalt
3 C DTE gypsum
3 C DTE oyster shell
1.75 C BAS biochar
She's growing out of whatever that weirdness is on the leaves. The second set is looking much more normal, but I'm wishing she wasn't going through whatever this is.
At some point this week, I'm planning on adding a topdress and then putting my plastic "mulch" on.
I'm trying to be super careful about the amount of water I give. I'm going in with pH around neutral (7 ish), but mostly letting the biology do it's thing.
12/11/22 Watered with some Rootwise Enzyme stuff and Aloe. Lowered the light so that I'm looking at 325 PPFD at the "canopy".
12/13/22 Lowered the light again to get to 450 PPFD at the "canopy". It definitely looks like she's growing out of whatever that weird deformation thing was when she sprouted.

Lowered the light to 22.5" to give 525 PPFD.
She got her top dress to day. I have NO idea how to deal with dry amendments in the nutrient chart, so I'm putting the info here (the 1 tsp/gal measurement specified above is just to keep the stupid chard happy.)
1/3 C Craft blend.
2 TBSP Kashi Blend
0.5 tsp Big 5 Micronutrients
All that got mixed together and spread on top of the pot and light scratched in, I then spread 1.5 C Build-A- Flower Top Dress over the other stuff.
That all then got watered in with a solution containing everything listed above EXCEPT FOR the dry amendments.
I'm also going to improvise plastic "mulch" from a trash bag (my shower caps haven't arrived and I really can't wait).
12/17/22
She seems to be taking off. She may be ready for me to start watering from the bottom soon. She's not as far along as one of the other plants, but she's close.
12/19/22 Lifted the pot covers and misted the top of the soil to keep it moist.

12/23/22 She's looking pretty good. I started tucking leaves today, and will likely remove a couple of the larger fan leaves and/or start tying things down real soon. She's gotten to be that size. Touching her left a very faint, non-descript weed smell on my hands, which is good. I thought I was going to have to move the light, but she's still getting 520 PPFD at her growing top, so it's staying put for a little while.
12/27/22 I put water in the self-watering trays for the first time. I'm going to have get some mosquito dunks. I seem to be cultivating gnats on the bottoms of the pots.
12/28/22 She got top watered with a some of solution containing all the goodies.
12/30/22 She's looking really good. At some point last week she flipped into flower, so I'm that's how I'm logging this week. She's totally caught up with the Mephisto plant. At this point she's just getting plain water (ok, it's got a mosquito dunk in it) from the self watering tray she's sitting on. I'm very happy with her, but sorta bummed that I missed the chance to do LST on her. This will be interesting, as I've never grown a plant without LST.
The nutrient grid is totally JENKY in that it barks at me if I take all the amendments off. There is no point at this point, what's in there is in there. I may add a little tea later next week (I'm considering a banana one for extra potassium, but the self watering trays are keeping the medium nice and moist, so I'm not sure how that will work.)
12/31/22 Raised the light up some. I didn't have my phone handy so I just put it back at the 22" hanging height, I'll have to check the PAR next week. For the time being she's growing into it... 😎
1/3/23 I'm going to have to raise the light up again. She's continuing to stretch.

1/6/23 Well, the last week was a bit of train wreck with power outages, terrible weather, and etc. But all is well that ends well. This girl just won't quit. She's getting super tall and the smells are getting delightful in the tent.
1/7/23 So everyone came out of the tent today. I cleaned up the bases, and everyone got top watered with about a quart of the solution with all the nutrients in it (above.) Also refilled the self-watering trays for the first time. I'm seriously liking those things.
1/9/23 In an abundance of caution, I added another 1/8 cup of Craft Blend today along with a couple of tablespoons of Bokashi grain. This is likely over kill, but I think I'm seeing Ca deficiencies on Sour Stomper again, and maybe I'm imaging it, but I'm seeing the spaces between the veins being slightly lighter on this plant. She's turning into a true giant, I hope she stops stretching soon as height management is going to become a thing I'm afraid.

Thank all the supreme beings above and below, the vertical stretch seems to have stopped. She's now taller than everyone else in the tent. When (and I'm pretty sure it's when, not if) I run this strain again, that future plant is going to experience some LST. My previous runs had been so diminutive that when I missed the option for LST due to the holidays I figured it would be a good experience and "just not a problem". HA! This girl blew up.
She's overall looking good, but I'm also seeing some slight yellowing at the tips. I have some Langbeinite that's supposed to arriving today, so I'm grateful for that. I've not adjusted the nutrients yet. I'm pretty sure she won't be getting all the top dress stuff again, but I'll probably do the liquid stuff to water said Langbeinite in.
1/14/22
Top dressed 2 tsp of langbeinite in a quarter cup of BuildAFlower as a carrier. I then watered that in with rest of the goodies in water. Today was also the day to refill the self-watering bases.
1/21/23
She's still looking really good, the stretching has stopped and I think I can see the buds starting to plump. This morning the self-watering base got filled and she got top watered with 0.5 gal of a tea with the following recipe:
1 C Build-a-flower top dress
2 tsp Build-a-bloom
2 tsp Big 6 micronutrients
2 tsp Organic AG Products Pure Dry Protein Hydrolysate
1 tsp Langbeinite
1.5 gal water
That brewed for 18 hours with an air stone.
1/28/23 Well, it feels like I'm in the home stretch with this grow.
I think this plant is going to go longer than the mid 60 day time that the breeder suggests. If The theory were to hold correct, I'd be harvesting in like 5 more days, but the trichomes suggest that it's going to be somewhat longer than that. I'm listening to the trichomes.
There is some minor fading on the lower leaves, but other than that she's just cruising along.
2/4/23
I know I'm in the final stretch, but it's just not time yet. I'm only giving her water at this point. Not really so much as a flush, but as extras just don't seem necessary at this point. She's in a healthy living soil, so she's got what she needs to finish, she just needs to do it.
I don't know why this site makes us rate a strain when you've just chopped the plant down... After it's dried and cured I'll come back and probably adjust that one way or another. For the time being I was just trying to be neutral.
This is by far the biggest plant I've grown. She just shot up.
The flowers aren't huge, but they look nice. Her smell was pleasant when she came out of the tent. I can certainly see trichomes on her, but you have to look for them, they don't smack you.
I'm anxious to see how she dries up.
2/11/23
So the trichomes haven't really changed in the last week. They were all cloudy on day 63, but I was hard pressed to find an amber one. So I waited. Well a week later, and that's not really changed, so I figured it was time. The plant was totally fading, HARD. I mean earlier in the week she had a little bit of a yellow cast. Today, she was yellow with a little green cast...
The flowers aren't super stinky, but they have a pleasant tropical kind of smell. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one dries.
I divided the grow space by three as she was one of three plants in the tent, so it's important to divide the light wattage by 3 as well. So she use 68.8 W of the light. I *might* get that, but I'm not holding my breath. I'm just going to wait for the final dry weight.
@ZoobZoob_farmZ, thanks this one is going pretty good, but I gotta figure out what happened to the pic on this one, that green cast isn't in my version! I didn't see it until I came here to check out your comment.
@delray_kevin, I need to have a go with living soil, see excellent results from it. You will definitely like the end result with this strain. Good luck with the remainder of the grow. Looking great.
@Hashy, thanks!
I have limited experience with growing this plant, but my experience with others and harvest times is holding true. Sometimes the breeders are more or less right, others, not so much. The plant is always right, regardless of what it is. I'm really excited to see how this plant comes out. This is my first living soil run and I can already see differences of salt based nutrients, but have no clue how those will translate into the final product.
@@Chunga, I just put it in the Grove Bag today. But I couldn't help myself, it was super sticky trimming it, so I sampled a bit ;). She's very uplifting and energizing. I wouldn't indulge in this I was trying to sleep. The taste is amazing! It's very sweet, but not cloying, with hints of something that reminds me of bubblegum. I just got a couple of Earth Boxes and will be running this again. I think I changed too many things this time going organic and trying the self-watering trays. Next run I'm sticking with the living soil, but will only change the container.
