So yea, i bought a ph meter and figured out that my tap water is 8+ ph so i tried to flush it with correct ph water. Because of lack of drainage soil got tough and plant stressed. Trying to dry the substrate with a vent and by digging holes. But preparing myself to a transplantation.
So my girl seems to be stressed and started flowering. Soil wasnt getting dry so I transplanted her into an air-pot, it has way better drainage and its good for LST. During the transplantation i cut away all the walls of the a growbag not to stress plant more. Added some coco on the bottom of the pot, then i gently moved soil into it and filled gaps with coco. I believe it will be useful for quicker drying.
This week i did my first defoliation (in life) plant didn't stress at all, and kept grow the same way concentrating powers on flowering. Cut away some lower flowers that don't receive light. Rotating plant for it to grow more flat and symmetric.
So it is stratching day by day, flowers become so beautiful i cannot stop staring at them. Still continue LST and use selective defoliation. No stress so far
Rebuilt the box to have more space and reflective surfaces. bending as much as space in a box lets me. Flowers getting denser, stigmas are getting brown and bending in. Top buds are getting purple somewhere.
so this week i experimented with letting go branches when the growth slows down. Appeared it will still stretch up, this way corrected the shape of the bush, and grabbed branches in other way to get more light.
this week was a flush week, started with 4 liters of pure water 6,5 ph and added 3 more in 3 days. Selective defoliation is also used. Last day did a blackout around 6h. Ground almost dry. Also dropped the temperature as low as possible.
Total dry weight 61g, good quality product around 45g and 16g of little fellows. The buds are strong, and its really 50/50 indica sativa. But for the first grow i feel it good enough. would i grow more of them? I guess not, there are too many strains to try.
Hey there,
Thanks a bunch for growing our genetics, and sharing this diary with us :)
We hope that it was a nice experience, and that you enjoy the harvest!
Have a good one
