Hi all first time growing Golden tiger. I have lost quite a bit of the growing season due to some other seeds thati purchased didn't germinate. So expect around 8 weeks it will have in vege before it changes, flowering starts around the end of February.
Really looking forward to harvest time next year, I have 2 Golden tiger, one in a container and one directly into the soil.
And two Durban poison.
Doing well so far
The plant is looking very healthy and I have given it a first feed with a liquid fertilizer and a dose of seaweed flakes Ascophyllum Nodosum.
I swear by this stuff gives a healthy plant and increase the yield.
Water was in short supply this week so I was using waste water from the shower to water them.
Growth has been good this week and now with it is raining I expect them to double there size in the next week.
Weather has been fine all week and she has responded well with a lot of growth. Unfortunately a branch from another tree fell and broke both the leaders but fortunately not all the way through, so I was able to bandage them back in place, I expect that will stress her out and slow the growth down a bit.
Other than that things are all good. I did apply some pony poo to the soil and worked it in a little and it may have been a little to hot for her but I think it will settle down soon.
Coming along nicely, I have been tipping her and as all the information I have read it does respond well, only wish I was able to start them sooner.
The smaller of the two I have just had to re pot as I planted her into soil that was too rich for her, hence the funky looking leaves.
I think it will shoot away now.
She is doing well at the moment, still no sign that she is going to start flowering. All my other girls are well into their flowering stage
If the Golden tiger has a long flowering period it could take until May for it to finish so I am glad I did her in a pot so I can keep her dry to avoid bud rot.
Still waiting for these two girls to start flowering, every other plant has started. At this rate the flowering will go well into autumn end of May. At least I have them in containers so I can move them if I need to, keeping the bud's dry is the most crucial thing because bud rot is my biggest concern.
Yes. flowering has just started on one of the plants and the weather has been wet and damp, causing all of my plants to get some bud rot. Hopefully the weather fines up so they dry out.
I have made an enclosure for the plants to as it has cooled down considerably.
Really looking forward to watching these sativa's go through flowering, they are both looking very good health wise so far
Making good but slow progress on the flowering, one plant seems to be about 2 weeks ahead of the other.
Relatively happy with both plants, starting to bud up nicely.
Healthy and happy plants, although I expect they would like it a little on the warmer side, we had our first frost last week, the earliest I can recall. Over night temp is 7-8. Day time temp 18c.
Growing better than I expected.🤞
The girls are doing well and flowering is well underway.
Most people would have already harvested for this season but I still have another 6-8 weeks to go yet.
Looking good girls.
Still another 4-6 weeks to go and I expect that the growth will slow down a bit.
Night time temperatures have dropped significantly and we have already had one frost. I have been bringing them inside at night for the past week but they will have to go back outside in a few days.
Things have been going really well, bud's are looking good and are starting to bulk up. I decided to give them one last feed of liquid fertilizer but they didn't like the nitrogen as the growing tips started to go a little yellow so I flushed them a little and gave a light spray with some iron chelate.
Yesterday I took them alloutside to get a full day of sunshine and I forgot to bring them back in last night and it has started to rain overnight and it is going to be raining for 4 days on and off. So I have spent the morning frantically trying to dry them out.
We are very susceptable to bud rot ( Botrytis) here so I will have to keep really close eye on them.
