bubble hash -- freeze immediatly, next time.
other stuff won't matter much.. you are dissolving it into oil or alcohol for an extraction... doesn't really care if it has some moisture left or not. less moisture may even improve resulting potency -- less mass of non thc added.. simple result of math.
pressing rosin i believe is better with a normal level of moisture in your typically cured weed. it helps the oils escape through all the micro crevices and such. it facilitates the process so 'normal' weed pressed will be a better yield than bone-dry.
i'd recommend bubble hash but has some initial investment -- set of mesh bags of varying micron sizes and a portable "5 gallon" washing machine (aka RV clothes washer)... it is worth it. stirring by hand sucks... also good to note with this method... the larger the load the more efficient it is... it will take 2-3 hours whether you do 10g or 1000's of grams starting material. Good thing is this is a sieving process.. absolutely nothing added.. pure plant material.
dry ice hash has more contaminants and comes out greenish, but probably the cheapest and easiest option. dry ice from local supermarket is typically cheap and you'll need "1" mesh bag... drpo teh ice in.. let it freeze, then shake over a flat, larrge surface you can scrape it all toegether easily -- glass or something very smooth in similar way to glass... a long mirror, e.g.
butter you can use a double boiler .. can do the extraction AND decarb it for read-to-use state at one time -- 60-90mins at 212F.. the double boiler guarantees you cannot burn the butter.
lots of options.. if it won't be smoked or heat applied when used, you'll need to decarb it -- if eaten, for example. vapes and smoking take care of that part on their own.
extractions involve solvents... some more dangerous than others... don't follow some 'bruh' science on these.. make sure it's a reputable source with some sort of education behind them on relevant subjects... smoking butane is never good, lol.
