Seed cracked after 12 hours in water so placed it in small soil pot. It will transition into a Coco medium at about week 1 or 2.
17th Jan 2023 - Day 1 above soil, the little one is ready to get going.
Thurs 19th Jan 2023 - Day 8 from seed the seedling is looking healthy and appears to be growing at a reasonably quick pace given the stage it is at.
Sun 22nd Jan - Seedling starting out really well and conditions are pretty good. Will be transplanting to 22L fabric pots in 9 days.
Tues 24th Jan - Gave the seedling a little water this morning, soil felt a little dry and she appears to be doing well anyway so will be happy to keep the updates coming.
30th Jan 2023 - Day before transplant into a Coco/perlite 80/20 mix, she is growing faster than the rest of the tent and looks like she will do well after tomorrow's transplant and innoculation with Dynomyco. Also will begin the Advanced Nutrients connoisseur entourage.
2nd Feb 2023 - Transplanted yesterday and so far so good, the pH of the soil seems a little high but I think the meter is old and I will be getting a new digital one soon. The dynomyco has been mixed in either the Coco and also covered the root base during transplant. The nutes already in the soil and the minor flush though of a base feed beforehand should be plenty for the next few days while they adjust to the new pots.
4th Feb 2023 - After the transplant the Gorilla cookies is doing well, enjoying the new light and environment. Fingers crossed she continues like that. She has been bent over to give light to lower branches but not tied down yet. I will get to that tomorrow.
Friday February 17th 2023 - So after spending the last week and a half up the hospital this Is how things are looking. Hopefully this lady will carry on without any trouble. She seems to be doing ok so far. Maybe a little behind.
27th Feb 2023 - Ok so this girl appears to be having a slight issue with her main cola.. not sure why but after it dried out a little so it was slightly droopy the top doesn't appear to have come back yet. I'm hoping it's just delayed but I will be keeping an eye on her for now.
All in all she is eating more than I can feed her haha but after the leaf strip I'm hoping she will be ok for food for now. Anyway, I'll try to get on top of posting more regularly.
Sunday 5th March 2023 - After a few days of draining the water this girl has found herself hungry. I've finally upped her feed to hopefully meet her needs.
I'm hoping this feed isn't too strong and that she will adapt. I have also trained her branches by staking them and opening up the whole length of the branch to try and increase flower production. We shall see how that goes.
Thursday 09th March 2023 - So I have finally got the bloom nutrients for the girl and added some bud ignitor to the most recent feed to try and increase some flower development for now. I really hope this increased feed is enough as she keeps pounding through food. Grows very well and would have been better if I'd caught the deficiency early and had a bit more room.
Mon 13th March 2023 - Ok so this girl in my attempts to correct the N deficiency I may have accidentally burnt her a little. I've flushed the pot yesterday to reduce the possibility of more burning. I am starting to think this may be a pH issue so will be checking feeds for the time being to see if she wants her pH lower than the others.
All in all she is being a tricky bitch but I'm sure I'll find out what's wrong with her shortly.
17th March 2023 - ok I think the discoloration of the leaves may be bleaching from the light. I have adjusted the height slightly and moved the plant. I will be adjusting the tent this week to free up more height for the girls.
She does seem to be doing better.
Friday 24th march 2023 - She is doing very well for an auto. Very impressed with this set of genetics. Hopefully the troubles are out of the way and it's smooth sailing from here. The light was raised and tent rearranged to reduce bleaching and hopefully lower the temp at the canopy.
Monday 3rd April 2023 - This week she has been really annoying. First it's too much food now it's fine.. she really didn't like it the other day but seems happy enough with it today. So go figure.. she doesn't like the pH too low, the temp too high, the nutes too strong or the light too close.. it's fine for everything else but nooooo.. this girl is like frickin Goldilocks or something.
Yet still... She is an impressive grower and I'm just hoping that I can manage this shit properly until she finishes lol. We will see how the bud comes out in a few weeks.
Sat 8th April 2023 - This girl has been trying to drain her leaves of nutes for weeks. Given that she is in her last few weeks of flower, I'm gonna give her one more nute feed towards the beginning of next week and then flush her from there. Hopefully she will have enough left in her to finish up nicely. Can't smell anything yet as temps keep running up to 30 celcius and my extractor is on 24/7. There is some bleaching that occurred before I moved the light but things are starting to get better. She would have done even better had there been more room in the tent for her. Ah well, you can't complain with an overachiever lol.
Thursday 20th April 2023 - This girl is starting to finish up now. Robably another week or so to go before harvest. She is quite airy and leafy to be honest but smells amazing. I will know more when I harvest but I think the light was too close and the temps got too high. Ah well, you live, you learn.
Quick question my friend, why are you using cal mag in the feed extra and that ancient organic bottle? Nitrogen is very high in that mix, and the b52 added in week 1 of flower? Im using advanced myself but never like this. And i dont mean to come off rude here, just want to understand 🙂
@GreenViking, Not rude at all, it's because it's a straight Coco/perlite mix. Coco has no nutrients in it and calmag tends to be heavily required from the beginning. So the calmag keeps the leaves from looking gross. Not that I don't have some screwy looking leaves already.
I hope that helps.
