This seed was stuborn. I soaked her over night in water. then placed the bean into a damp paper towel, inside a ziplock bag, and into a dresser drawer. After 5 days I though she was a goner. I added water/hydrogen peroxide to the water I damped the towel with and sprinkled rooting power on the paper towel and bean. 24hrs later it had a taproot. this was the 2nd bean out of a 3 pack as the 1st did not sprout.

@Grow_Greener, Beautiful plant brother! Just a tip on germinating seeds, I am not sure how warm it is in your dresser drawer, but if you want your seeds to germinate much faster and more reliably, get yourself a small heat mat (you can get one for under $20) and then place your ziploc bag inside a dark colored towel to block out light, and just place it on the heat mat, and you will have a taproot within 24 hours almost every time. While a seedling can germinate at room temperature, the metabolic activity is greatly reduced if the temperature is below 80 degrees F. or above 88 degrees F. I also take a piece of 320 grit sandpaper and roll it up like a doller bill and tape it, and shake my seeds inside 6 or 8 times before putting them in the glass of water, that scuffs them up and allows them to sink to the bottom of the glass almost immediately which means they imbibe the water much faster and can be transferred to the paper towel much sooner. Last thing I do is when I drop them tail down in their new grow media, I only cover the top with DRY soil, so it is much lighter and doesn't cause the seedling to waste energy pushing through heavy soil. You still need to cover them to block the light, but I started using just a pinch of dry soil on top and it cut the time down by around 24 hours on average for them to break soil. Hope that helps brother, good luck!

Looks like it is growing pretty fast. Excited to watch her. I have some of these beans on order and think I will be growing them in my second grow. Good luck. Keep posting. :-)
