I’ve only ever used fabric pots before and I def should’ve got them again. The plastic pots are giving me problems with watering. The soil stayed completely wet under the top soil for almost 4 days and the plants have been dropping the whole time and are just now starting to stand up a bit. These were growing out pretty bushy so I’m trying some lst. I’m hoping for a decent stretch from flower, the plants I’ve grown only get a a couple inches from stretch.

Once the seedlings pop can I poke some more holes in the cups and leave them on for a while longer to maintain high humidity or will that put them at risk of rotting?

be sure to make several holes, the girls already need oxygen, but no problem leaving your little domes for another week ✌️

Will this seedling recover, the tap root was growing up out of the soil so I flipped it over and this is how it sprouted up.

It will be fine, cannabis is an amazingly resilient plant. No need for humidity domes though, they just encourage disease and soft sappy stems.

Chance are it will last winter i planted already cracked seeds upside down for whatever stupid reason, it had been a long time since I started from seed and I flipped them all back and 9 of 10 were fine in a couple day and the 10th one I think I broke the end off thats why it didn't grow

She may... but then again, if you keep her that wet she won't stand a chance... Cover her with a humidity dome - some clear plastic anything with some holes punched out to allow fresh air in but that will keep the air humid... and don't water her at all until the soil is completely dry. She still shows some life to me - but damn, you're giving her too much water! Good luck....

Do I need an exhaust fan for my 2x2x4 tent? It’s very hard to keep my humidify higher than 40% with the fan on. So can I make it an intake or turn it off completely or should I just do my best with humidity?

I have the same issue, during the beginning stages, I don't run the fans much, I have it turn on for 15min every hour as that is the lowest my timer allows for. This allows for the humidity to build up but still try to flush out the hot air and I set the humidifier to 70% so it shuts off automatically. Also I keep extra pots in the tent with plain medium that I water (soaked) to increase the humidity in the tent. It would be ideal to have it hooked up like the infinity fans are designed to accommodate temp and heat with fan speed . but those are expensive.

The exhaust is important to replace the air in the grow tent it is not just for the smell although this is a benefit. Your plants at the stge they are at do not need extraction running atm. More important is to get your VPD correct which means increasing your RH by at least 20% from 40 to 60. Make sure you have air movement in the tent with a oscillating fan of some sort. 40% is too low for 2nd week. I personally run 70% RH at this stage but my extrctor would suck that out the room. No extractor yet but yes for flower.. Increase RH and balance leaf temp to get a VPD of around 0.80KPa (22ishc - 70%RH) ood luck and have fun..

I don't even HAVE an exhaust fan in my 2x4x6 tent! And especially at the age your plant is, I think it's more important to be concerned about the humidity level than eliminating odors or worrying about VDP (I really don't even know the first thing about VDP either!!). The little one needs the humidity - Good luck!

What does this look like to you? Growing in fox farm ocean forest have lights at 50% and are about 2 feet away on 18/6, humidity fluctuated from 38 to 50 for a few days but is back up now. I’m also wondering why the first one is not growing on one side.

happen to get any fertilizer on the side that isn't growing? could be genetics.. but more likely something killed the growth tip... newer growth looks healthier than the single-bladed leaf... as long as this continues don't worry about blemishes on first 2-3 pair of leaves... most of teh time it will grow out of it. The waviness could be self-inflicted.. this is indicative of varying growth rates ove time -- coulda been the rh swing among a plethora of potential factors fluctuating.... pH swing can do it, for example. but again, could also just be early growth being funky and a pefectly healthy plant will still result. do your best.. keep it happy and becareful of drips when fertilizing.

These autos are now showing signs of flower. Can I cut off some of those big leaves or is it best to keep them on?

My autoflowers are just starting flower. I top dressed with worm castings 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 dry amendments. Is there anything relatively simple I could add to boost the final result?

And whatever you do don't defoliate autoflowers, They're on a clock unlike photo periods if you defoliate and the recovery time is 3 days, that's 3 days lost growth on your plants, I definitely would get in there and do some low stress training give them some space between and allow more light in and a scrog when they get a bit bigger to maintain the spread, also never top autos either for the same reasons, taking days of productive growth....They look super healthy and vigorous just keep doing what your doing and like I said make a tea with unsulphered molasses and give that to them once a week until about 5 weeks left and just use ph'd water...Good luck

Make a ammendment tea and add to the watering cycle, there will definitely be a benefit, 2-8-4 warm castings and living soil unsulfered molasses in a sock with a good air stone, add once a week..Check my diary I'm running Gaia as well and they're thriving hard

You a few options. Mollases. Co2. Extra ppfd. UV. Z there are so many methods. But have a look.at this i think u are just in the stage where u can transfer all that energy from making big leafs to big colas. BTW my go 2s which I've found incredibly useful over my short growing period. RQS, ROLLITUP, GROWEEDESY Here's a link on defol. https://www.growweedeasy.com/nebulas-flowering-stage-defoliation-tutorial Good growing.

Looking good! I'm defoliating my DD. Trying to get more light to bud sites on stalks.

@Boncoward, I'm a new one also. I defoliated to give more energy to buds. Will see what happens. I chopped up my Sweet Tooth to get a smaller bushier plant. Seemed to work. Also ST has been in a tent alone with constant CO2. Huge difference!

@CANDYFLIPPING7, I was thinking about defoliating so I went ahead and asked on here if I should and I was recommended not to so I don’t cause unnecessary stress. I am still a beginner at this so I’m going to play is safe but I might take off a leaf or two.
