Time for a new start, new seed source ! These are Runtz Autoflowers by Seedstockers. Soaked in distilled water for 12 hours, then straight into the soil.
Using ProMix HP and worm castings along with Cronk Nutrients Autoflower specific, Bonnie and Clyde.
Both seeds sprouted Jan.4th/2023 -Day 1
Runtz Auto comes from a sugary sweet lineup of genetics to produce a luscious and fruity terpene profile. The strain is pungent with the alluringly smooth flavors of tropical candy. This particular strain has a 10-11 week time period from seed to harvest, and should be typical of Indica’s, short and compact.
The Runtz beauties have made it through and are thriving. I switched to spring water to add a bit of ppm to the mix, while still getting a PH of 6.4-6.5.
I mixed a spray bottle with 1 ml of Sensi Cal/Mag and .5 ml of Bonnie from Cronk nutrients. Used this mixture sparingly, misting the seedlings in the morning and night, trying not to overwater. Also used as a foliar spray just before lights out so as not to burn the plant.
It been very cold and dry here, I had to add a 2nd humidifier to the tent to get the RH where I wanted it, hovering between 65 and 70% RH. The humidifiers I have are 1 gallon each and I have to refill daily! Temps has been hovering around 78 degrees and get to about 70 in lights out with the small heater I use during the winter months.
Overall, they are progressing well, I’m hoping to get a few weeks of Veg time before they start to flower. 🇨🇦👊❤️
It was a good week, with some good growth. The ladies have settled in and are a starting to reach up. I’ve been keeping the environment steady at about 78 degrees, and 60-62% humidity. It goes down to about 70 degrees at night.
I’ve been watering sparingly still, about 1 cup of water every third day. Near the end of the week they were getting 2 cups and have lasted more than two days without showing they are needing again. I decreased the light schedule to 18 hours, and they seem to be benefiting from the dark cycle, or less DLI. LST will start next week! Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️
Girls have been doing great. Lots of new growth in this third week of Veg/flower.
I ended the Runtz Autos this week with a little bit of LST. I started by working the stem with my fingers getting her to loosen up the fibres a bit so she’ll bend a bit easier. I bent them both over about three nodes down from the top, and secured them with some soft plant wire ties to the pot with a bulldog clip. Throughout the week I would adjust the ties and move fan leaves that were blocking sites. This resulted in some great growth.
About three days into the LST, the girls started to show signs that they were starting to flower. I was hoping to get a little bit more veg time for growth, but what can you do…
Maintained a good routine of filling the humidifiers, and watering every third day. They are now taking about 2 cups of water at feeding time. RH steady at 65% and temps have been consistent around 78 degrees. Happy Gardening 👩🌾 👊🇨🇦❤️
Girls have responded well to some basic LST, they also started flowering! Added a bit of the Clyde to the feed routine, other than that, no real change to the watering.
RH was consistent, and I’ve been keeping my small tent heater going to keep things nice and toasty at night. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️
A great week for the girls, an explosion of flower growth.
They are not the largest Autoflower’s, but they are robust. The main cola is about 9 inches, with tight bud spacing and stacking. The satellite buds are also nice size with some good density. These girls have not shown any issues with the cronk nutrient/dosage that has been given, while some of the others have been more finicky.
They are feeling greasy, and have a some good terps starting as I open the tent. RH has been kept between 55-58 % while temps have gotten as high as 81, but typically hover around 78 degrees. They are getting close to a gallon of water at feed time, which is about every 4 days. I’m happy with these girls so far as there are a several weeks left in their cycle. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️
The Runtz auto girls are doing 😊. They have settled in and are fattening and stacking nicely. They are only about 16-18 inches total, but have some nice fat buds, should be some good weight.
They are starting to develop some frost, but are very greasy to the touch 🤤 Trying to keep them in a sweet spot so they keep developing. RH around 55-58 % and Temps between 77-80 degrees. They are in week 8 now, and suggested harvest is about 70-75 days… Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️🌱
Girls are fattening up! The one is doing great, good frost development and size. While the other is showing signs of lockout or deficiencies, but is still growing strong.
They are probably getting their last dose of nutrients next week, they are a 10-11 week strain and that’s fast approaching 🤤
RH was lowered to between 50-53% and temps have been steady around 77-79. They are coasting now, just gotta fill up the humidifier daily and watch them finish. Happy Gardening 👊🇨🇦❤️🌱
Hey-O ! The girls are doing great, lots of frost development and thickening up. Big fat colas and nugs on these ones. Pretty sure the Mai cola is a solid OZ on its own 🤤 smelling very dank, and feeling greasy to the touch.
All I have had to do this week is fill the humidifier and admire them as they grow 😎 not too much longer, hoping they finish around the same time as my other strain . Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️🌱
Another easy week for the Runtz ladies ❤️ I’ve been watching closely and counting down, they are getting so close but could still go a little further without getting too much amber. I’m trying to time the harvest to go along with my other strain I have going as I have no other space available 🙈
I switched to straight PH water the end of last week, and they have gotten three feeds with runoff since, there will probably be 2 more. They are taking less water now, or rather, it’s lasting longer now. RH was dropped to between 48-50 % and temps have been between 76-79 degrees, and about 69 degeees at night. Thanks for checking the grow out, Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️🌱
After just 3 days of cure I dipped into the jar and had a taste, I was not disappointed. As soon as you open the jar you get sweet candy smells mixed with a pungent funk ! ❤️ when breaking up the bud you get more of the sweet and funk, but an earthy fruit comes out strong as well. The buds are dense, the colas are great, but so are all the satellite golf ball buds. I’m still smoking my cookies from my last run and will wait patiently for at least two weeks for those buds to cure a bit, and the terps to really come out, then I will report back with a full smoke report, but so far, I would run these again 🇨🇦👊❤️
I dried in my big tent using my 6”in-line fan set to remove excess humidity and heat. Stayed pretty consistent at 65 or so degrees, and 60% humidity. They took 11 days, 1 day more than my gorilla cookies. Despite their squat nature, gave me 109 grams of trimmed bud, and about 2 g of kief. These girls are frosty
Overall, this plant was a producer! Easy to grow, no surprises and stayed healthy throughout. 11 weeks from seed to harvest. It was squat, but stacked, so airflow and humidity control were key to preventing powdery mildew or bud rot. Took the nutrients like a champ, didn’t show too many demands. I’d like to run this again to see if I can get them taller, to potentially produce more. Otherwise, a very good, potent strain choice for someone who is short on space, and would do well with a sea of green style…Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️
