My mate had these 8 Gelato #45 clones that are sick and thinks are dying and was gonna bin them. They had lovely roots in the rapid rooters so I think they just need a bit of tlc. Gave them some formulex and put them under the T5. Not really grown to much from clones so any advice on what’s wrong with them appreciated.
Looking much better than last week. They’ve shot up under the T5. Will give them a few more days before I put them under the LED. Roots now starting to come out of the blocks which shows they’re coming on well. Glad my mate didn’t bin them and I got them now 😆😆
Do t think these clones were best but they’re doing ok. I was actually going to run Zkitzo by Mean Beanz this run. Decided to pop one of them and that’s the plant you can see which is making the clones looks small. Wish I’d of run them now as that plant look an absolute beast. Got some huge fan leaves coming off it. Gonna flip them today.
Clones look ok but don’t look like they’re going to yield a lot. Think they definitely could have done with another week of veg. The Mean Beanz Zkitzo looks an absolute beast though and I wish I’d of just run those from the start. Took a couple of clones of this week as I think it’s gonna be a beauty.
Been on holiday so missed a week update. They look ok. Had barely any stretch at all on the clones but they’re budding up ok. The Zkitzo at the front is around 40 inches which is about what I’d normally expect height wise in this setup
Can’t believe how short the gelatos are. I think the mother must of been a dwarf. The Zkitzo from seed is 18 inches taller. Good job I’ve got separate lights or it could have been a right mess in the tent. The Zkitzo has an SF-1000 all to herself and there’s an SF-2000 and another SF-1000 on the Gelatos. 😂😂. Smelling nice and plenty of frost just looks a bit of a mess.
Looking good and starting to smell the part too. Buds are rock solid on the Gelatos are nice and frosty and look a week ahead of the Zkitzo which looks like it will have some good weight to her. Around 3 weeks to go.
The gelatos are pretty much there. Had some new pistol growth last couple of days and don’t really want them foxtailing as at the minute they are rock solid.lights down to 75%. Just keep topping up the res with rainwater until the it doesn’t read on the ec pen then gonna chop. The big Zkitzo looks like it still has a couple of weeks left and the smell coming of her is insane. Pure Zkittlez.
Beautiful dense buds which smell crazy. Smoke report when dry.
Both smoke lovely. Used rainwater right through and could definitely tell the difference. The tast of the Zkitzo is something else. Pure Z terps
Wish I could have vegged the clones another couple of weeks but the Zkitzo was just growing to fast. In hindsight shouldn’t have put a plant from seed in with the clones. Seeds always grow like mad in NFT and clones are more manageable as they don’t have a tap root. Still got some absolutely beautiful looking and smelling bud from the Zkitzo so can’t really regret it. The Gelatos are rock solid right through and look absolutely beautiful. Used rainwater right the way through on this so should smoke nice to. Better pictures as it dries.
Hey herb I got 2 questions. Did you get the clones local or mail order? And have you thought about letting the plants grow taller and then squashing them down with the net for a bit more yield??? Just a thought…
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, they were local mate. Take your point on the net but in NFT if I vegged for more than 2 weeks I’d do well to squash them with the net. The main stem on the front plant which was a Zkitzo seed is really thick already after 2 weeks. I’ve tried it before and they just grow to tall if you veg to long in that setup. Think I could probably veg a bit longer with clones as the stems are smaller but I do tend to grow more from seed.
@Hydro_Hiebs, hey bro, they grow down out the bottom of the blocks then they get air pruned. The more root tips you have before putting them into the nft the better. I just dip bottom inch of the block when I feed them. Idea being again to draw the roots down and out the blocks.
