The latest pic is 3 days after deep topping them, made them really bushy while I was on holiday. Once they fill up the tent and look healthy enough, I'll install the scrog net and flip em into flowering. Probably within a week or so.

Added the scrog net and defoliated a bit to help spread out the canopy. They are looking healthy and happy and ready for the flip! That deep-topping really was a great way of creating a very even and clean canopy (you'll see that in the next week's update)

Still looking great! I kept spreading out the canopy the first few days of flower, but as it was impossible to water the plants in the back I still ditched the scrog net. It really helped flattening and spreading out the canopy though, but it was there for like 2-3 days only. Since the canopy was filled completely there was no need for the net any longer, and I mean: look at it, isn't it beautiful?! Looking happy and excited for flowering!

Defoliated and lollipopped quite a bit, but nothing crazy. Will be doing a pretty aggressive defoliation around week 3 of 12/12. Maybe I'll do heavy on one plant per strain, and mild on the other, would be cool to experience this for myself. From what I've read online, both are actually fine, but considering the small space, I leaning more towards an aggressive defoliation to maximise airflow and light penetration as well. The top canopy is filled out great so a small yield is not something I'm worried about. Also, contemplating if I should give plain water in between the feeds. They are looking very happy, but I'm scared to burn them during the critical weeks of flowering!

So I was wondering (medium is light-mix from Plagron): I've been feeding a full dose of nutes every watering up until now. Would ya'll recommend giving plain water in between every few feeds, or dosing down to be cautious? I don't want to be too late... That happened last grow.

Doing very good, but as these are new strains and not super uniform yet, pheno #1 is stretching a lot more. My OCD doesn't like it, but it's all good... Both looking incredibly healthy and ready for a very aggressive defoliation on day 20, but I'm sharing that in next week's update!

They bounced back incredibly after, pretty much right after the aggressive defoliation also referred to as 'schwazzing'. The theory states that removing basically all fan leaves around day 20 makes the plant focus on bud growth 100%, and looking at the pictures, that really seems to be happening. Very happy with the plants, only one issue, pheno #2 stretched a lot more than pheno #1. The internodal distance of the stretchy pheno is insane. In hindsight I could have flipped em a bit sooner, but the tent is filled completely, so there's pretty much no surface waste which is nice. Pheno #1 is looking incredible icy, with ice all over the fan leaves already. Also some colours seem to be showing up. Pheno #2 is not as icy yet, but as she stretched way more she'll probably bloom a bit longer too.

Pheno #1 is looking amazing, getting dense and started to get some purple fades on her! She's frosty and dense as fuck, smells quite a bit like cherry. Super sweet. Pheno #2 was a real stretcher, but starting to look similar with some subtle purple colours coming in. Very excited for these ladies! I never measured pH, but since I did, I noticed my tap water varies from 7-9 pH from day to day. From now on, for every watering I'll be checking the pH and making sure it stays in the 5.8-6.5 range for optimal nutrient intake. This was probably the issue for the last grow, creating deficiencies and nutrient lock-outs when the pH was too high time after time. Smells are very sweet, the whole tent is exploding with crazy aromas. Cruising into week 6 of flower now, with the pH problems brought to light and hopefully I was early enough to make them swell maximally.

Ladies are doing great, finally fixed the pH problem, so the lockout should be fixed. Great growth, amazingly icy buds, especially pheno #1 is looking incredible. Smells of sour cherry candy with some hints of that gelato too.

Ladies are still doing great, the only problem is that the leaves are burning a little too early. This might be due to the previous pH problem that resulted in a nutrient lock-out... All the buds are developing very well, and looking super icy, smelling amazing and looking dense. Both pheno's are really smelling like sweet sour artificial cherries, really excited to see how these will turn out.

Doing great, the smells are out of this world. For some reason the fruit/cherry is super dominant, both plants smell like artificial cherry candy/pastries. Pheno #1 is more to the gelato/cherry side, but pheno #1 smells like super sweet cherry yoghurt, really incredible. Both are very dense too, feels like rock-hard nugs. Pheno #2 does look like she needs a bit longer, pheno #1 is almost done, probably a week or so left until harvest.

Both pheno’s are doing incredibly well. Pheno #1 is almost ready and looks absolutely beautiful. Extremely frosty, with a beautiful dark purple-ish fade and chunky rock solid buds. She smells like sweet artificial cherry with cream and gas. Pheno #2 is taking a bit longer, but her bud structure is definitely worth the extra time. Rock solid nugs with insane frost levels, and the terps are very potent smelling like sweet red fruit yoghurt 🍒🍨⛽️

Great strain, insanely beautiful bud structure, dense as hell and the terps are out of this world. She grew great too, compact and super icy buds. The frostiest of the room. Got that ‘cali’ look, also with the incredible dark brown/purple fade.

What a run this was, harvested at day 70 of 12/12. Pheno #1 was the iciest from the start and hasn’t disappointed ever since. Amazing and beautifully stacked buds with and insane amount of trichomes! She looks truly amazing, very exotic bud structure too! The smells are out of this world with artificial cherry, cookies and gas terps. Can’t wait for her to be dried and cured for the final smoke test!

Definitely the funkiest of all. She smells like artificial red fruit yoghurt. Super sweet dank with hints of gas. Great terps, insane bud structure with stacked and very dense buds. Can’t wait for her to finally finish up, as she is taking quite a while. Going into week 10 of 12/12 and not ready yet, hopefully within a week or two.

I would have let her go for another week but the other plant was more than done and I had no other drying space left. Amazing grow, should be a solid harvest and the buds smell and looks amazing. Very sweet, creamy and gassy artificial cherry terps. Very excited how they smell and taste after drying and curing!

Beautiful looking buds 💚😎✌️🏻💨 ! When I grew with soil I use to feed one time water with fertilizer and the second time only water with additives but no nutes maybe a calmag if u have soft water or Ro water. What I also did and worked well was two times water with nutrients and than one time only water with additives! In my opinion its not necessary in soil to feed nutirents every time, its a waste of money and you are more save to not burn your plants✌️🏻!

@FacelessGardens, Exactly, I love the learning journey which will hopefully never stop so I'll always get better! Definitely checking pH and EC every watering since the last few weeks, so next grow should be even better when I do that from the start ;)
FacelessGardens

@Rinna, Yeah in the end there are many ways to Rome as they say and its true u just have to find the best system that works for you in all of your growing circumstances ! Just check what works best for you and collect experience! I have fucked up a lot of shit in the beginning 🤣✌️🏻 but thats how you learn in the end ! Yeah that was probably the reason, I would definetly always check the Ph and if possible also your Ec and if its not possible to check the Ec I would definetly feed once nutrients and than once water to be save ✌️🏻! Always welcome growmie 😉💚🙏🏻💨✌️🏻

@FacelessGardens, Thanks man! And thanks for your insight, I actually felt like this would make sense because soil retains nutrients so well. Some people disagree and some agree, I'll just have to see what works best for me. I only started measuring pH a few weeks ago, which would have probably prevented a lot of nutrient problems... This is probably why my plants were burning and showing deficiencies at the same time!
