Seed2WeedYT Welcome to my second official grow diary! Will be growing Pluto's Bride by Brother Mendel and Gnome Automatics. I've had great success with Brother Mendel genetics in the past, and can't wait for this journey. Pluto's Bride is a cross of Gnome Automatics CMD x Brother Mendel's Dark Planet. This strain is suppose to focus on providing an auto that offers high returns in the hash process. She is suppose to be a Medium/High yielder with an mixed range of green and purple with some finishing red tone. Effects are suppose to lean more towards Indica but overall a balanced smoke.
1/30 - Last night, I placed seed in cup of distilled water, let sit for about 20 hours, took the seed out, placed in wet paper towel in zip lock bag for another 24 hours, once I seen tap root become long enough, I placed into soaked rock wool cube. Then, I placed soaked rock wool cube in red solo cup, with plastic covering top to keep in moisture. Once roots get through rock wool, will place rock wool in wet soil. I've had success with this method with my past several grows. I like this process because the cup of water softens the outer shell, paper towel acts as same but it doesn't drown seed allowing root to grow, the rock wool I love because it doesn't contain hot nutrients as to just putting the seed directly in soil, which I believe helps plant growth early on.
1/31 - Not much as happened, Rock wool still wet, no need to add any additional water at this point. Once I notice roots, I will put in forever soil pot.
2/2 - Just been keeping the soil moist but not to wet so the rock wool doesn't dry up to help the roots come. Usually, when putting rock wool into soil, the soil will try to soak the water from rock wool, so I just make sure it stays wet/damp especially throughout the first week. Didn't even see shell which is a good sign, usually I have to assist. Excited for the future can't stop lookin' at her.

"Excited for the future can't stop lookin' at her." - this is me too! Hah I just sit watching them I can't take my eyes away. I have a quick look while I pass and end up staring at them for an hour. Sad about the hermies in the other grow, but seeing the excitement and enthusiasm return to you with this germination is awesome. Maybe you have space for a few more, and if you do not have space for a few more... try a tiny pot challenge? By the way, this girl is within a few days of my latest baby if you want to follow a similar age diary for comparing.
@UnorthadoxDude, I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that 😂 The hermie was a curve ball but life goes on, without the bad their would be no good. The tiny pot challenge seems very interesting, I will have to give it a try. Going to check it out for sure, will be interesting on the rate of growth on both. Thank you for checking me out 💪
