Well let's try this again shall we.
Clones cut of ethos crescendo and ethos hash plant. Some other clones (hash passion, and cbd and a cut of zkittlez as well) are also in those pics, but this log will be of the 5x5 flower tent with 2 phenos of hash plant and 3 of crescendo.
A cutting of each went to mother tent, and remainder (2 of each hash plant pheno, and 3 of each crescendo) will be covered here. Hope this works out better than the last.
Dec 30th transplant day.
Ran out of soil, had to put a few plants into 1 gallon pots, rest were put into 3 gallon.
Tent has a couple cbd plants that are waiting for 2x4 to finish up so they can move in. Remainder are hash plant and crescendo by ethos.
Uneventful week, basically transplanted into pro-mix hp, watered lightly then fed when dried out.
Vegging...
Feed 1000ppm, cal mag, maxi gro, maybe some KSi, possibly molasses, ph @ 6.6,
water
Lights @30%.
Got an interesting mutation on one if the phenos of crescendo. (Will also start on another one of the phenos later in the grow) there are branches/nodes starting on the stem of fan leaves..
Well seems I didn't take any pictures this week.. here's a pic of one of the buds from an ethos hash plant that I took a cutting from.
Clearly an uneventful week if I didn't even snap a pic... Either that or was busy with work and life that week, who knows or cares, either way skip this week, check out next->
Transplanted 1 gallons to 3 gallon, lollipopped, scrogged, hit with a shit mix of stuff..
Plants closest to door on the left are ethos hash plant pheno 1
Two on left wall at the rear of tent are pheno 2 of ethos hash plant.
Closest 3x in the right corner are crescendo Pheno 3
Mid 3x going right wall are crescendo pheno 2 which also now has started growing nodes/branches from fan leaf stems.
And at the rear wall three on the right are crescendo Pheno 1.
Letting the plants fill out the net more and giving a little more time to spread their roots after transplant likely switch to flower next week.
Feb 6thWaiting 1 more day for pots to dry out then going to give a feed with bennies, and humic/fulvic before flipping.
Feb 7th. Transplanted plants still have not dried out from last feeding, plants that were originally in 3 gallons dried out, gave a little bit of water to dry plants waiting for rest to dry out for a heavy feed before flip.
Feb 9th Pots were close enough to good enough for dryness. Gave 30 hours of darkness, lights just got turned on now 2000 on Feb 9th.
Guess that makes today first light period of the flip.
Tomorrow will be heavy feed with all the additives and a little bit of flower nutes, will update again then.
Waited as long as I could, had to flip before they get any taller. Hit them with 30ish hours of dark a couple days ago and started 12/12 after that dark period.
Pots still weren't fully dry on the plants that were recently transplanted but hit all plants with a solid feed and water, took about a gallon each give or take before runoff started.
Will monitor the humidity and temp and do my best to keep them in the vpd zone. Not much else to do this week, will see how quick everything dries out.
Feb 11: More pics will get snapped tonight, was late by the time I got everything mixed and watered.
Humidity was around 55-60 so I upped temp a little bit to get vpd closer to where I want it.
Feb 12: Looking a bit happier today when lights popped on.
Feb 16th plants still drying out (almost there.) I will update with feedings and watering as they happen.
Starting to see the very first signs of flowering today. Will have to see what they look like tomorrow before I decide what feeding will look like. Thinking 60% gro, 40% bloom, CaMg, humic/fulvic, KSi, maybe some molasses. Dunno, also gotta look at feeding journal see what last one looked like and when it was. Will update tomorrow.
Feb 17 Updated nutrients for this feed
Had 1x crescendo pheno 2
2x hash plant pheno 2
and
1x crescendo pheno 1 not dry enough for a watering this go round. Will wait for later in the week to hit them.
Feb 18 the 2x hash plant pheno 2 are dry enough
Hit with same mixture 6.66ph 1300ppm
just waiting on the 1x Crescendo pheno 1, and 1xcrescendo pheno 2 plants to dry up so I can hit with this feed. Rest of week will be cal mag water with molasses for plants that were fed.
Feb 20 Last 2 plants were dry enough. Hit them with same mix.
The 2 hash plant 2 were still wet from 2 days ago, let them be, rest were getting a bit dry. Gave them all a watering with 10ml/gal CaMg and 1tbsp/gal molasses.
Threw the 2nd trellis net up so the ladies stretch into it.
The ethos hash plant pheno 1 that was transplanted directly from solo cup to 3 gallon was the only one dried out again, hit her with KSi and CaMg water. Forgot to check ph, should be around 6.7 based on previous experience.
They looked happy today, will leave them alone today, tomorrow will be a nice heavy feeding, I'm thinking
2ml/gal KSi
10ml/gal magical (CaMg) almost out of that and switching to a new brand mid grow, kinda risky but should be alright new kind says 1-3ml/gal but will be looking through reviews shortly.
.25tsp/gal gro
.75tsp/gal bloom
6ml/gal monkey juice
Then mid week will hit with
CaMg
4ml/gal liquid Kool Bloom
3 tsp/gal Molasses
1 tsp/gal humic & fulvic
Will update with more pictures and info if shit changes through the week.
Feb 24 went with
2ml/gal KSi
10ml/gal CaMg
.2 tsp/gal gro
.8 tsp/gal bloom
4ml/gal monkey juice
Feb 26
Lights both at 60%
Plants dried out enough to hit them with the planned CaMg (see below) +Molasses (1tbsp/gal)+ Kool bloom liquid (4ml/gal) +humic and fulvic. 1tsp/gal
Ran out of technaflora magical and started running mad labs cal-mag used 37ml magical and 4ml mad labs for a 5 gal bucket. Will be dialing back cal mag next week since stretch seems to be complete.
Next week will focus on pumping them full of bloom nutes.
Feb 28
A few plants dried up a bit EHP1 more than the others so watered them, one of the EHP2 was dry, and 2x crescendo 1 were dry. All of those got a little cal mag water. Noticed when mixing I misread label last time. Mad-labs cal mag is 1-3 ml/L
This water was 6ml/1.5gal or about 1ml/L
Well, cutting out silica, and gro this week, stretch is done, minor defoliation done.
Fed them with a solution of:
4ml/gal cal-mag
1.5 tsp/gal maxi bloom
5ml/gal monkey juice
Mid week they will get:
1tbsp/gal molasses
4ml/gal kool bloom
3ml/gal cal-mag
Will update every couple days with any new info and some more pics. As well as to add in the remaining nutes and additives to the log as they are fed.
Edit: Mar 2
Ppm/EC on that mix was waaaay to high. Ended up at 1750ppm (3.5ec), so added ph'd water to the bucket to drop to 1400ppm (2.8ec) hopefully not too high, we will see in the next day or two if it was alright.
Mar 4
Plants still have enough water for today.
Lights at 80% now, plants seem to like it.
Added pics.
Ehp 1 were thirsty, mixed up mid week.
850ppm(1.7ec) (keeping in mind my well water is 300ppm (.6ec) of that)
6.7ph
One of the Crescendo 2 was dried out as well, made another gallon of mix
900ppm
6.8ph
All but 2 plants seem for the mid week hit. Mixed up another batch.
900ppm
6.4ph
Last 2 plants were ready enough.
915ppm
6.6ph
Will upload some more pics later
March 7 Pics uploaded
Light increased to 90%
Ethos hash plant pheno 1 lightened up a little bit, and is showing what appears to be calcium deficiency or potassium deficiency.
It is dry and ready for water anyways. Mixed up
6.4ph
830ppm
1.5 ml/l cal-mag
1ml/gal kool bloom.
This is supposed to just be ph'd water but I'm trying to get ahead of the issue before it becomes one.
A little more description. The leaves closest to the light are yellowing up very slightly and the leaf margins have minor interveinal necrosis. It is only on fan leaves, and only at top of plant.
I have lowered light intensity and will hit with this solution and continue to monitor.
Pics will be added after I charge my phone
Last pic shows the difference in colour greatly exaggerated, however shows the area directly under light is lightest.
Lights all reduced back to 80%
Noticing minor issues here and there. Dealing with them as they present. May have been pushing lights a bit hard, backed them off a notch and will continue monitoring and giving the plants what they want moving forward.
Will continue to update throughout the week as things progress.
Will likely do final leaf strip/defoliation mid week, will see how work and free time play out.
Mar 10
Plucking a few fan leaves here and there to get more bud sites exposed, haven't had the time to do a decent defoliation, will try to make it happen Sunday.
EHP 2 were dried enough, gave them a half gallon feed. 1400ppm 6.6ph
Was also one of the Crescendo 2 pots light. It got hit as well. Seems like rest of plants will be ready to feed shortly.
Mar 11
A couple of the Crescendo 1 and one of the Crescendo 2 are dry enough. Will be hitting with a feed.
Mixed
2ml/l cal mag
1tsp/gal maxi bloom
somehow ended up with a low enough TDS that I decided to hit with 4ml/gal kool bloom.
Ended up 1470 tds, 6.5ph
Mar 12
EHP1 are dry enough, gonna hit em with a feed same as last one 1480ppm 6.55ph
Mar 14
A couple of the crescendo 3 plants were starting to show a little colour on a few pistils, decided to hit with a feed that contained powdered kool bloom.
Nute mix was:
2ml/gal cal mag
1 tsp/gal maxi bloom
1/4 tsp/gal powder kool bloom
6ml/gal monkey juice
1550ppm
6.3ph
Also ended up giving that to the other plants whos soil was drying out.
2x crescendo 1
1x crescendo 2
3x crescendo 3
2x EHP 2
The crescendo 1&2 are showing calcium deficiency.
Just hit a couple of the Crescendo 2 and both of the ehp1 with 1600ppm @ 6.4ph
Was 10ml/gal cal mag
1tsp/gal maxi bloom
Not a lot going on. Plants continuing to show calcium deficiency, will keep in mind not to reduce calcium until after week 5 flower next time. Tried to reduce cal-mag to boost pk without causing blockages or ramping ec up too high (was hitting 1700ppm with normal feed with boosters and cal mag, and 900 with only cal mag and booster), but cut calcium a bit too much, still learning what these plants want as its only 2nd run with these genetics. Next run I'll use this diary as a guide and hopefully get them perfect.
Aside from calcium deficiency plants are still putting on weight and trichomes. Will still end up being a good run.
Ehp 2 is a late bloomer, was almost a week behind to start flowering, will keep that in mind next run. It has the structure and terp profile I like, so will likely keep it running. Will be reducing the plants I have and am using this run as final decision maker. So far, will likely be hash plant pheno 2 and crescendo 2 that stick around. But let's see how they finish up.
Will update throughout the week as things go down.
Mar 17
Crescendo 3, 2 of the Crescendo 1, and both of the Ethos hash plant 2 were dry enough. They all got the same feed I have been mixing:
1tsp/gal maxi bloom
2ml/l cal mag
1/4 tsp/gal dry kool bloom
ended up 1600ppm (3.1 mS EC)
also decided EHP 2 had enough bud to finally warrant a decent defoliation. (I usually wait until I feel there will be enough plant matter left to catch some light and not be detrimental to growth, it's all just a feeling, but has worked for me so far.)
Mar 19
All of the hash plants and 1 of the Crescendo 1 were dry enough, hit with 1450ppm @ 6.35ph
2ml/l calmag
.9 tsp/gal maxi bloom
1/4 tsp/gal powder kool bloom.
Mar 21
A couple crescendo 3 and crescendo 1s were dry, fed with same as above
Mar 22
A couple crescendo and a hash plant were dry
Fed as above.
Battery dying, quick update. Crescendo will get one more big feed, then switch to ph'd water.
Hash plant need another couple weeks.
Reduced crescendo light to 60%
Hash plant at 90%
Will update with more pics every couple days.
Have a great week growmies.
Mar 26:
EHP Light @ 100%
Crescendo light @ 80%
Mar 29:
Updated with new pics. Beginning to think I may have started straight water too early.. May hit with another feed start of next week and switch back to straight water for rest of grow for crescedo.
EHP is still chowing down nutrients like a monster. Any time I back off they look unhappy. Currently taking 3.2ec every watering..
1tsp/gal maxi bloom
1/4 tsp/gal kool bloom powder
2ml/l cal-mag
Also plan to hit with molasses again beginning of next week, ran out so stopped using it, just restocked.
Gave crescendo ph'd water most of last week, will carry on flush and see where we end up.
Hash plant are still packing on weight, don't seem like they will be done for another 2-3 weeks. Will keep feeding till end of week and see how they look, possibly start transition to straight water early to mid next week.
Hash plant side light @ 100%
Crescendo light @ 80%
April 4
Just gave most of the plants molasses water. Will likely begin running molasses water for remainder of grow for all plants but hash plant 2. Will give another week of heavy bloom feedings for them.
Added pics
Gave a nice heavy feed to Hash plant 2 as it still looks a ways off from mature. Will likely be some point this week I cut nutes to her.
Remainder are just getting straight ph'd water until the soil is depleted of nutes then won't even bother ph balancing before watering.
Plants look pretty close on crescendo side. Putting on last bit of weight, shot up new calyxes and pistils a couple days ago, will wait a few days and think about chopping.
Ethos has plant 1 pistils are changing colours, hash plant 2 is all white still.
April 9
Checked Trichomes on Crescendo. Not quite where I like them yet.
Everything is now on ph'd water, hopefully hash plant finish up in 7-10 days.
Started chopping them down as I have time. So far crescendo 2 and 3 are chopped. Will chop crescendo 1 tonight. Hash plant need another week or so.
Seems like the busy times never end here. Got good news... Moving across the country in a couple months. Which means I have no time to grow until I get to New destination. So will be around, but no more grow logs until Sept or later. Killed off my mothers and clones to fight the temptation to try to get one more crop. Need to get place fixed up and sold ASAP. Wish me luck.
Ethos hash plant 1 were chopped today, last 2 plants standing are Ethos Hash plant 2, will be the last ones grown in this house.
New province, city, house, seeds, setups to be starting soon. Will update with final plant chop date and final dry weight when I have them
Chopped last 2 ethos hash plant. Not sure what the fuck happenend.. 14 weeks and a day to finish flower..
Trichs were almost where I like, would give them another day or two, but I have to list the house and move on. Will try to keep a cut alive as I cross the country, try running that pheno again see if an older more mature clone will flower faster, or if I pound her with nutes for 11 weeks what she finishes up like. These girls have a pretty long ass flush...
Who knows. Will trim up when dry and report all weights. Looking like a decent harvest. We'll see.
