Guess what just arrived! Alright this is positively, definitely, 100% the last grow in this series [G2].
Fast Buds Strawberry Banana Auto. Apparently a fast grower and a big plant. I'm germinating three and will select the two strongest to grow on. This auto strain allegedly has up to 27% THC. A long road from here to there begins today.
I've prepared some Jiffy pellets and am pre-soaking the seeds in warm water for... well let's see. At least 4 hours. No more than 16.
Update: After 6 hours 1 seed had sunk and 2 still floated, so I scarified the two floaters and they both immediately sank after that, so I put them all in jiffy pellets and into the propagator. The one seed that had sunk looked like it was starting to pop as well, after 6 hours!
Update @ 23:00 13/2/23: 75 hours no babies.
Update at 01:00 15/2/23: 101 hours no babies. I've gently examined, it seems all three have popped but none have pushed out of the pellets yet, nor have any roots appeared. I am unsure why these girls are taking so long, perhaps my expectations have been disproportionally raised by recent successes.
21:00 15/2/23 Oh hello there!
18:30 16/2/23 Two ladies up, third has failed. It was my mistake I over scarified her. So I removed the third seed from the diary so as not to skew Fast Buds germination rates because of my mistake.
It's name that baby time! Can I please have your suggestions for names for these two sisters, both Strawberry Banana Auto.
Names beginning with S and B, one of each - bonus points for a great pair.
The darker one is plant A, the lighter plant B.
Moving along nice! I read it wasn't as fast as you hoped, but these ones will probably surprise you! Dark Opal Greek Basil is adding magic to the grow, beautiful! 👋👍👌
Nothing beats home grown fresh basil in some pizza sauce. I stopped growing for a while (after almost getting busted by the cable company in a prohibition state) and had about 8-10 fresh herbs growing on the closet. Too much pruning needed for some herbs indoors... Fruiting pants are better suited for indoor gardening. I am thinking hydroponic strawberries soon.
@MedicineMaker, I completely agree. My original plan for these two girls (supposed to be 3 but one failed due to my damaging it in scarification) was to LST them in opposite directions. Sort of a bit like the plan for the Epsilon F1's - except the F1s I am going to allow to get some height.
This one will surely pack a punch 👊 When you say G2 series, what do you mean by that? I have some FB Strawberry Pie seeds I'm looking forward to growing sometime. Best of luck on the grow!
@UnorthadoxDude, Got it, thanks for the explaining. I already can't wait for my next grow. This strain is going to be a fun one and I'm looking forward to watching your progress.
@MedicineMaker, So G2 is my second grow, although really it's my first proper grow. It includes various plants once these are all finished it will be the end of the grow series G2 and next time I do a grow series it will be G3.
Heyy,
Thanks a bunch for growing our genetics, and sharing this diary with us!
We hope that it was a nice experience
