Blueberry Wedding Cake

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 8] The seedlings are developing well, except for one.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 16] Unfortunately, one Wedding Cake suddenly stopped growing 😞 I suspect a bad seed or maybe not enough humidity. The other Wedding Cakes look great. As a replacement, I got a Blueberry cutting today. It's still a bit too big, but that will be balanced out with scrogging and trimming.

Mr_Meeseeks [Day 27] Topping on the Blueberry to slow down its growth and encourage better side branches. The Wedding Cakes look good too, a bit yellowish. I messed up with the nutrients today; instead of adding the Roots supplement, I added Bloom. The packaging is the same color, and I wasn't paying close enough attention. But it'll still be watered next week. It'll be fine, and there will be something in there that the plants need 😁 [Day 28] Recently, my EC was too low, so from now on, I’ll be using the original nutrient schedule (soil) from the manufacturer.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 35] Yesterday, the plants were flushed with just water (pH 6.0 and about 20 liters per pot) and everything was cleaned up. The plants look really healthy, and I'm very happy with the progress.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 41] The plants are developing well. No pests or real signs of deficiency. In a few weeks, the little ones will be sent into flowering, but before that, the plants will be worked on with scissors.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 49] The Blueberry looks a bit yellowish. I suspect that the EC value was too low. Starting from growth week 7, I will water with 1.5mS/cm instead of 1.0mS/cm. Then I will also trim the plants. I have no idea how yet, but I'll make it work 😄 That will be recorded next week, because today is the last day of this growth week. Otherwise, the plants look very skinny 😉

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 54] To promote better side branches, more even growth, and a higher yield, the plants were trimmed on day 49. Day 54 (April 7, 2023) is the last day of the vegetative phase, and overall the plants look good. No significant signs of deficiency or over-fertilization, and no pests either. Perfect for flowering 😎 I've uploaded a comparison photo with the last run. The only differences are that the lamp was set to 100% (307 Watts LED) earlier and a higher EC value was used. Instead of 0.8mS/cm, this time it was 1.5mS/cm.

Mr_Meeseeks [Day 55] (April 8, 2023) First day of flowering 😎 [Day 56] The plants were trimmed again. This time the plants are so dense that I even removed whole side branches, especially on the Blueberry. Additionally, the pots were flushed with about 20 liters (pH 6.0). [Day 61] Now the plants are already touching the net, and from now on, it's time to weave them in 😁

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 68] For just four plants, they're growing pretty densely. I call it Block-Of-Green 😄 I'm trying to create some airflow with defoliation, but it's really hard due to the growth urge. With the Blueberry, it's already impossible. To make everything nice and even, the plant tops are threaded into the net. Both strains are very well suited for ScrOG.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 75] The plants are still growing a bit, but not too much anymore. Since the last watering had a very high EC value, this week I only watered with water (pH adjusted). The plants have gotten a bit too tall for my liking, and I can go into flowering earlier next time.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 82] This week a lot of defoliation had to be done. Some side branches were even removed to help the buds develop better. Otherwise, the risk of mold is too high. So far, everything is going well, the plants have just gotten a bit tall, and now it's getting tight with the lamp 😀

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 89] I watered more with water than with nutrients this week, and starting from the weekend, I'll be back to using nutrients. Currently, no pests or other diseases.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 96] The hairs on the buds are getting browner, and I might harvest as early as next week. Otherwise, the plants look good for this stage.

Mr_Meeseeks [Tag 103] Probably the last day before the harvest, unless I'm too lazy tomorrow 😄 The plants smell amazing and already look ready.

Mr_Meeseeks A bit bushy, but that's definitely due to the height of growth. During this round, I had to remove a lot of side shoots so the plant wouldn't hinder itself. But no matter how much I cut, it was still not enough. As I've written before, next time I'll definitely let it grow less. We'll weigh it only when it's dry.

Mr_Meeseeks Way too dense and really not pleasant to harvest, but thanks to the machine, it went very quickly 😎 One plant was really heavy, that surprised me 😄
