I originally planned on focusing on just one C4 grow. I planted a single seed directly into a 5 gal pot, but changed my mind after a few days. I thought I lost that orginal C4 seed, but nope, it popped through tall and lanky with its sib. Methane also popped consistantly. Both are said to be feminized autos. Using a single lamp to get these going.
They were transplanted into 5 gal. A few days to acclimate. By day 14, they looked like this. The older C4 that popped became a dominate grower at 4 inches. It took over the smaller germ pot and the other C4 had a week stem that needed to be propped or mounded for sometime. I dissolved some Miracle-Gro Indoor Plant Food Spikes into room temp h2o just because I had them laying around.
Making improvements. I'm not being as on the line with nutrients at the moment. Noticing nice pistil development for all three plants. The tallest C4 is a few days older anyway. These are not as bushier as a previous grow but I think these a growing like true autos. A previous auto strain from a different company was much bushier at this point with minimal pistil development. I decided not to train and will see how things go.
Methane is surprisingly keeping squat. More bud sites are popping. Fan leaves seem to have reached their peak now. Methane has some beautiful crystals appearing, with some purpleing. Bloom nutes introduced. Towards the end of the week I kept in dark for at least 12 hrs to encourage buds and am considering removing some fan leaves now.
This week I had to apply some neem oil to push out the gnats. Noticing some small changes in the growth of the buds. I applied a little more bloom and grow nutrients to the water after a few days to drain.
132g WET - this plant started fast, tall, growing out from deep after losing its place during seeding. After week 3 or 4, it was hit bad with gnats and high humidity. I want to work on increasing yield and providing optimal environment for next time.
