Started five fems, four for the hydro system and one to grow in soil for clones this outdoor season. I went ahead and soaked all five seeds in a glass overnight and then into a damp paper towel/ziplock bag on my heat mat, set to 78 degrees. All five sprouted healthy, white taproots within 24 hours. Then into rockwool and under a Bestva 3000 on its rspec setting, as to get the seedlings to stretch ever so slightly for early transplant.

Everything growing great. Ending the week with some roots dipping their toes in, by the end of next week we should be in the vigorous part of veg. Also! Dude at the hydro shop recommended this "Advanced Gravel" as opposed to expanding clay. He said rinsing was less hassle, and they don't expand or soak up nearly as much mineral salt content as clay. Guess I'll see. Like it so far, can attest it is easier to prepare for use.

2/19 -- Root development has been going crazy the last few days -- all plants are touching the water. Like last week's entry said, should be gearing up for quicky and heavy veg growth. Planning to top at node 5 or 6. 2/24 — Two of my four plants have started showing signs of deficiency in the older growth and slightly on the tips of the new growth. Not akin to nute burn, closer to phosphorus deficiency, but PH and NER have remained in check as far as I can tell (I calibrate my pens every 1-2 weeks). Seems to be recovering. As seen in the video, root development stunted with the vegetation. Other plants look great.

2/26 -- brought the room down to 65% RH, reservoir is pretty constant at 570 ppm @ PH 5.9-6.1. If you look at the pic for BB#4, you'll see a funky mutation -- fan leaf missing it's middle finger! A first for me. #2 stunted bad this week, but it recovered very quickly and is growing steady once again. Still not sure what happened. Maybe light stress. I have a new evaporative humidifier, to replace an old hypersonic one that is just sub optimal, as well as a small room heater coming soon too try and get it a bit warmer in there. and get rid of that white film of shit my humidifier leaves everywhere right now. hoping to keep her at 24c/65% RH. 2/28 -- Heater and Humidifier arrived. Spent yesterday dialing them in, the ladies spent the night at 19c and 60%, lights on has been a steady 24c/65-70% RH. VPD between 1.0-1.1 consistently. 3/2 -- Topped all the ladies, taking of their 6th growth site. Also took the bottom set of leaves off. Everyone looks great!

3/5 -- I think the reservoir is a little warmer than ideal, resulting the heat stress type symptoms. BB#3 seems unphased but the rest look a tad warm. Dropped the PPM too 555, as it was creeping up to 600 a little too comfortably. Been there for three days now with no up or down movement in anything but water level :) Planning to full empty/refill around week 7 or so, hopefully before the trellis. If not, my system should be easy enough to manage trellised. Only need one water swap before flower.
