Onandon Starting my first grow of 2023.
Iām kicking off with the same system I used last year, so check my older diaries for details.
Stress killer is a personal favourite of mine, so Iām doing a single seed as it seems like a very robust grower.
I just like have some of this in my stash.
The other seed is a thunderfuck, which I havenāt tried yet. Interested I see how this one gets on.
Both germinated in 2.5 days and were dropped in soil today, 21st Feb.
Light set to 15/20% just to add some warmth to the cabinet.
Temp is 18c to 20c

Onandon Nothing much to report on week two.
The thunderfuck is growing just fine in week 1
The stress killer has mutated and decided in 3rds. Not sure if that will make any difference, but Iāll just leave it to grow.
The soli is fertilised and pre watered so for now Iām just leaving them alone to get comfy.

Onandon All well this week.
The stress killer is a tri-leaf plant so Iām interested to see if that makes any difference to the grow.
The Thunderfuck is growing well, and no issues.
1st week of nutrition, so following the Biobizz schedule.
Thanks it for now

Onandon Another week and things are just moving along.
In the 1st few weeks itās really difficult to screw up, so so drama expected.
Both plants are doing great. Iāve increased the light to 50% but still kept it at 60 cm away. It gets some warmth into the cabinet so day temps are around 21c
Following the biobizz grow schedule so itās pretty straight forward.

Onandon I intentionally keeping my diary updates brief so anyone can follow along, and hopefully demystify growing decent plants.
Both are doing well and growing strong. The lamp is at 60cm from the top of the plant and now set to 75% and will be increasing to 100% over the next week.
Iāve started to LST this week and get some light to the lower nodes/ branches so they can start to join in.
I water twice a week, once following the biobizz schedule, and a 2nd time with ph balanced tap water.
Itās usually week 5/6 when I see some potential issues as the plants going into their flowering and nutrient demands change, but the issues are usually minor.

Onandon Both plans are doing well.
The stresskiller is starting to flower, and definitely getting a heady aroma š¤£
Iām not monitoring the plants 24/7. They get a feed every Tuesday and a water once a week when they need it.
This grow is being left to do itās thing and just grow. The LST is just on clip pulling the plant to one side, allowing better light penetration.
Iāll add more as they grow but for now, thatās it.

Onandon Both plans are doing well.
Both are flowering and putting out some smell š¤. Stress killer has thrown out a central stalk that Iām having difficulty with, as itās so much taller than the remaining plant.
Iāve attempted to LST it back down and across, but itās not having it š.
Iāll play around and see what can be done as I donāt want it to get burnt.
Getting some yellowing of the lower leaves. Iād usually panic but I know this is just the 1st leaves getting used for the nutrients.
Still on plan

Onandon Always the same result.
Around this time, every grow I get the dreaded yellow leaves regardless of the nutrients I use and schedule I complete.
The plants always produce good buds but Iām always wondering - what if?, how good would they have been if the yellow leaves hadnāt/ didnāt happen.
Iāve made a tea with worm casting to up the nitrogen. This has worked in the past but I feel like this is an issue with biobizz as there in no stand alone nitrogen boost.
Anyway. I watered and fed today Tuesday 11, so weāll see how they progress.

Onandon Another week and theyāre doing ok.
Still some yellowing of the leaves but Iām fine with how the look and feel.
Fed and watered today - biobizz schedule mixed with a nitrogen / worm casting tea. Pretty much my goto fix for these things.
Until next week

Onandon Iād say stress killer is going to be ready to chop in two weeks so I hope todays feed will be itās last.
Still canāt shake the yellowing in both plants, even after a good nitrogen tea.
Itās in the hand of the weed gods now so only a few weeks to go. Hang in there guys, youāre nearly done š¤

Onandon Just checked the plants today and I think iāll probably chop them both in the next few days.
The stresskiller is only a day or so behind the Thunderfuck so it has a tiny amount of amber showing, where as the Thunderfuck has a touch more but both need maybe 3-4 more days plus two days of dark.
I still donāt know if that does anything but Iāve always done it, and it doesnāt do any harm.
I want to chop them together so they can dry in the cabinet and any smells can be caught by the filter and I can control the environment

Onandon After last weekās update I didnāt think theyād make for another diary entry.
The Thunderfuck is juuuust about ready to harvest but the stress killer is still not quite there. Iāll check daily and chop them together.
Theyāre absolutely getting it this week, ready or not š
