Getting back at this, was gifted 4 auto seeds. Between ma passing away on 9-11, the cost of kilo watts in Illinois, and deer season, I took a few months off. This lady is up and outta the dirt, never done an auto but my buddy has the same strains in coco under led at 48 days. I'm impressed enough to try them under hid. Hopefully the will be fine. Morels will be popping soon and sheds are dropping sooner. Happy grow folks!
Not much growing on here. Started nutes, raised light up to get a little strech outta them, seeing good growth, nice color, should be a fun 9 weeks! Morels will be showing up in 30ish days! Happy gro folks!
Zkittles seems to be growing a bit faster than Gelato. First autos I've grown, they seem to grow faster than photo. Stalks are growing thick, fast, node spacing is good, Im not topping but I will lst that top down and branches in time to try for a level canopy. I got my lst shit ready to go. Color seems good, looks healthy so far. I did update my substrate temps after double checking them today. That soil is much cooler 4" deep. Kind like me watching for the morel mushroom progress, we are a few weeks away still, right at 50, need upper 50's. Happy grow folks!
She is starting to grow out fast, not as fast as #1 but coming along ok. Raised light up to 22", plucked a few of the first leaves off, I guess I need to swap bulbs to hps soon, need to research that. Happy grow folks!
She is coming along pretty good but not as dense and bushy as #1, swapped over to hps bulb, I guess that is what to do with autos. Did that on 19th. Im seeing early signs of flower, lil bud starts showing up. I hope theres still alot of growing left, like a good stretch. I tried a gallon of water at a time, up from 1/2 gallon. Seems to be a bit much by the reaction, lots of run off. I will prolly stick with 3/4 and see how that goes. Happy gro folks!
This girl is doing pretty good, a bit more stretch that her sis, but not as bulky.. She likes a half gallon of water every 3 days, dries out good, responds to nutes well too. My chihuahua ate some of the bottom leaves yesterday, all four got eaten on, he liked them alot. Flowers starting to show up, growth is obvious every day. Happy gro folks!
Gave her a good clean up going into flower, not as much as her sis tho. Removed bottom growth that has no chance at producing. Seems to be happy with 1/2 gallon of water every 3 days, alternating nutes. Soil dries good, not much if any run off. Stretch is bigtime on this lady. Flowering is showing up. Happy gro folks!
Day 58. I think ive mis labeled my seeds at germ or something. Both #2 strains look like twins while the same for #1 too. She is kicking right along, was a lil slow getting to show buds but picking up the pace now. Not sure how much defoil i want to do now, might just let her do her thing. Broken wrist turned into plates n screws, nerve block was a first, very cool technology. Woke up from surgery, no pain. Block wore off, holy shit pain. Ate 7 hydrocodones in 24 hours. That was monday, 4 days later and very lil pain, been chasing the great morel mushrooms since tuesday. A bit slow, no way can i trip and fall, so im careful. Ticks suck. Happy grow folks!
Day 67. Doing good so far, she is a twin to my gelato 2 which means i got the seeds mixed up. Trimmed her up , should be ready to pick around day 90. Buds need to fatten or they gonna be tiny. Arm is healing, cast comes off tuesday, not sure if new one replaces but being RH and having that in a full cast is a challenge. Morels are still popping up but we need rain or they will go away fast. Happy gro folks!
Day 72. Not sure if this is really zkittles or gelato,,, something is not the same. Buds are starting to swell up, hope that keeps up for another week or so. Supposed to be a 90 day grow, so she should start fading soon. Looks pretty good to me, just small compared to photos.
Picking a few leaves here and there, got a new cast on my arm too, shorter so I can bend my elbow, 4 weeks to wait. Happy grow folks!
Day 80. Looking pretty nice, buds are frosty and sticky. Smelling fruity, fade starting to come on too. Harvest will be within 10 days, trichs are cloudy mostly, Buds are not very big compared to photos, the scale will be interesting. Happy grow folks!
Day 87. Almost positive she is a zkittles, her sis would be my gelato 2 per my mixed up diary if Im right.... This sweet lady is doing well, smell is more fruit loops with the zkittles. Trichs are cloudy. First signs of amber and it will be harvest time. Buds are super frosty and tight, lil bit of foxtail. The sample I took of her was outstanding. Cant wait for a cured product now. I found out I have a super lumens on my digital ballast. So Ive been running it on that setting to finish her up. Happy gro folks!
Day 93. Lifted this girl up 6" with a crate. Kinda evened the tops out and better light....Smell is very strong, she has cloudy trics, very sticky. Waiting for amber to show up and she will be cut. Got started on final outdoor plants, my weed eating chi dog loves to supercrop what he can reach, good helper dog.. Happy gro folks!
Day 101. This girl is ready to go hang. Very little amber, buds are rock hard. Lots of purple, smell is fruityish I guess, Im not the best at smelling smells the way others smell. Foxtailing is crazy enough for me to stop her. Hope she weighs in nice stays with fatty colas. Hope I figure out the strain issue too 😑Happy gro folks!
Buds are frosty, got a good smell, just small, typical auto. Not a big producer but hope the smoke is good after the cure. Would not grow again, just due to end weight.
103 days from germ, harvested on 6-5-23. 118 grams of dry bud, now for the cure. Trying grove bags, I have seen good results so I am giving them a shot. Still not sure which is which but my zkittles 1 and gelato 1 are the same plants, and so is zkittles 2 and gelato 2. Just dont know which is what strain yet.
