I burnt them a bit with too much nutes, both growing nicely but I need to crop the tangie before it can really take off , I will change nutrients to flower tomorrow (tues) ,and she will explode π±
@CBD_Sweden,yes I will tomorrow, I have got a bucket , with a plastic tub , held down with another plastic tub , so it's completely submerged , it still smelt amazing today , but I noticed as I poured it away it started to froth .
@BigDaddyK, Dont freak out.
I have water cured 3 different strains and all shrink different. Between about 20-50%.
It also applies to the weight.
But it makes the buds more compact and it concentrates the trichomes on a smaller surface and makes it more potent per gram than an air cured buds.
But even if you get less weight you still get the same amount of potency like if it was air cured.
ππ Nice @BigDaddyK ! Curious about the water cure results on the smoke! Though the appearance looses a lot of the rich colours you get in your grows!
@BigDaddyK,wow what benefits would I get water curing I suppose as long as you get high off all of your supply then the look isn't the be all and end all.
Grimbol is right bro.
You should use Lux meter, Lux is the "real" amount of light that plant is taking !
But this question of light is very hard to talk about, because of our brain who is made to see white light !
You can have have high Lumens low Lux or high Lumens and high Lux whatever you want bro ....
The plants does not use full spectrum .... The spectrum is the most important, now you can have low Lumens and low Lux but high Kelvin the plants will grow faster than if you have high Lumens and high Lux but low Kelvin ..... imagine that you have just a green spectrum light with 100 000 Lumens and 1 000 000 Lux , your plants will die like if there was in the dark !
Hope you understand , my English is poor , otherwise think has a plant π
@BigDaddyK,yes direct sunlight is 120 000 Lux, my MH is 600w , 32 000 Lumens , 14 000 Kelvin (Super Blue), it's like growing plants under a deep blue sky in North Pole π
@BigDaddyK, To be exact, I'm getting 5800 to 6000 Lux with a brand new MH buld at 23 inches with aluminum glass coated reflector. I have some spots at 10 000 lux but they're heat spots , I don't like to putt my plants in heat spots (I have K nut burns at the moment , my plants are already evaporating to much from the leaves edges, and I don't want to increase the phenomenon). That's the way I use Lux meter , most times high Lux spots are heat spots , I use the lux meter to detect these spots to not to put my plants in . I recommend to start to study for "photosynthetically active radiation" this is the most important thing .
To make it easy bro, plants "see" the world in "purple", blue purple in spring and summer , pink purple in autumn and winter. It's a mix of the Blue and the Red spectrum ! That's why LED's have this purple color by the way. Plants don't need to get hit by high levels of Lux if they have the correct spectrum to photosynthesis the chlorophyll A et B π
And this why LED's growers are making a common mistake, they have in mind to get POWERFUL LED's has the same way of HID's .... so they put plants under KIND-k5 xl 1000 and they have miniaturized plants π
@BigDaddyK,get some black electric rubber tape , some Clonex gel . Just monstercropp it and put it in a scrog , the rubber tape and the clonex gel will be used to heal the damaged stem !
Nice man!! Excited to see this girl in her prime. These ones get big too!! I've never seen one in dwc, and you sure know what you're doing so I'm watching like a hawk!! ππππ
@BigDaddyK, it was a delicious smoke!! Many said it was very unique and that they loved her terps!! Good luck homie, I'm sure you'll kill it as usual!! π
Hey man,
At the end of this comment is a very in depth article on how to compare grow lights/think about lighting conditions for plants. One thing they specifically address is that you can't really use lumens as a measurement tool. Good luck! I'm excited to see how this one turns out. Seems like a really interesting strain.

@BigDaddy, Great job on this grow! How did your lower buds develop? I can see you got a lot of height but not as much width, did you experience any issues in terms of size/quality?
@BigDaddyK, that should be very nice indeed... My understanding is that a brilliant sunny day clear sky's gives about 100k (as we know not every day is like that) 30k+ is what I've read as acceptable for flowering 50-80k ideal
That young plant is getting "looney" bro (3 fans leaves on 3rd node), you can stop it by adding a gentle breeze to make it shake gently, she will stop going up like a "magic bean" π
