I will be using advanced nutrients jungle juice M/G/B line in Pro Mix BX. Isil it about time to start adding nutrients? What is a good starting number for the beginning? I was going to start at 200 ppm with increments of 50 every week but I'm no expert :) THANKS!
nah man wait at least till you re-pot, you risk over doing it, and you can see the beging of some lock out happening... start at the bottom of week three after you repot... just my two cents ! Good luck with the grow !
Day 17 from seed. Gave a very light feeding of just 50 ppm (130 total) ,noticeable signs of burn on a couple,just a bit too early on the nutes I guess.I am feeding equal parts M/G and 1/4 Bloom, and then vice versa for flower,I hope that's correct.
Day 28 from seed. Vegging under 6x 23w CFL. Some are definitely doing better then others, going to pay more attention to how much I water per plant. I plan on topping very soon, or is that too soon?!?
Day 35 from seed. VERY large fan leaves and it looks like some are ready for a transplant and others seem stunted and slow growing. Added Great White microbials. Not to sure if I should be pulling these super large fan leaves or not!
My fan leaves seem very large which,to me, translates to a healthy plant. Should I be pulling these large healthy leaves or is it a bit early to defoilate?
Hello @Ak_keith ! The point of defoliation is to increase the light penetration and air circulation. Since at this point your canopy doesn't seem to thick i wouldn't do anything but in about a week you will definitely need to cut some leaves. More leaves certainly doesn't mean more photosynthesis especially when these leaves are at the bottom of the plant and don't receive any light. Except of that there are other factors that limits the photosynthesis rates like the co2 quantity the light intensity and the limits that rubisco enzyme sets ( an enzyme responsible for co2 fixation to energy ). Week 6 huge difference in size of plants. Replanted the big ones into 3 gallon,also gonna do a side by side in fabric pots. Probably gonna move the big ones to flower next week due to space.
Week 7: moved the four biggest to the flower room (photos are day 3 of flower). Flower room lights are Mars Hydro 300w and 5x 15w 2700k LED bulbs. 2 confirmed females. They are a bit small for flowering but I will be focusing on these 4 mainly while the rest grow in veg. I plan on moving the rest to flower in about 2 weeks. I should have a replacement for the LED bulbs by then.
Week 2 of flower! Very noticeable stretch, they all seem to be of the same phenotype. Deciding whether one is a different phenotypes or not seems to be a large struggle lol. I believe that I saw a major improvement once I added great white microbials. Does it look like my pots are too small for my plants?also, I am really liking fabric pots,should I go bigger for the future?
Noticed some slight burn starting on tips so I'll give just fresh water for a couple waterings. Or should I just lower the PPM by about 100?another cheap 300w in the mail, next upgrade DIY trellis net!
What is your go to response when you see yellow tips on leaves 3 weeks into flower? I know the idea is to "dial back" the nutes but what exactly does that mean? Just water fresh water a couple of times in a row? Or drop PPM buy like 100 for a watering session?
in soil the best is following the water water feed water water feed schedule, especially making sure the wet dry cycle is strictly adhered to. If you're feeding more regularly than that dialing it back may mean reverting to this schedule then. By the time you catch the symptoms the problem has been going on for a while already, so keep that in mind! Hope this helps AKKeith ! 🚀
Start of Week 4 of flower, added one more Mars Hydro 300w LED and added cal-mag! Leaves seem a little darker green then I think they should be and also noticing some maroon/reddish stems on some fan leaves.
Well damn,they all went Hermie on me. I spent many hours canning each plant and plucking off each ball of bananas on the bottom of the buds. It seemed to mainly be from lower parts of the plant but all 4 had them. I will continue the grow and see how they progress.
Another week down and no more signs of Hermie balls. Everything definitely looks fristier,still considering cutting them down maybe a week early...still kinda scared :(
Day 47 of flower,no signs of seeds!! I cut back on the nitrogen and added more bloom but I will start flushing after the next feeding! It looks like some pH are finishing faster then others! I am getting great experience in phenotypes because I can really smell the differences in a few of them!
