Germination
W1D3 - Seedling germinated successfully. I planted in substrate with Mycrobe Complete and moistened little as soil is at 50% moisture per the Ecowitt moisture meter. Standard Germination Operating Procedure The paper towel method is sprinkled with Great White, Rootwise Mycrobe Complete, freeze-dried Aloe flakes, and BB+, a fungal inoculant that turns soft bodied pests into plant nutrition. I retrieved some fresh snow, warmed it up and moistened the paper towel. I wrapped the seed loosely in the paper towel ensuring the correct moisture and placed the seed into a Ziploc bag on top of the water heater. I'll check back in 30 hours or so... Description of Gorilla Gelato - Ganja Farmer Seeds What will you get after crossing two potent strains such as Gorilla and Gelato? An equally potent child! Uneventful week. Seedling breached soil and is getting ready for growth. Earthbox was pulled apart after last harvest and re-amended with Basalt, BuildASoil Craft Blend, Flower Girl, crab meal and worm castings from Michigan Worm Works. I mixed up soil, watered and allowed the nutrients and soil to blend for a couple of weeks, then planted the seed after germination. Will water from above for a couple of weeks until roots take hold before placing water in the reservoir.

Slow growth, but I do see growth as a second set of leaves is now the focus. A humidifier is in the tent with the seedling to keep VPD in the green. I have ramped up humidity in tent. She likes it. Will continue with plenty of moisture. ______________________________ Seedlings are babies They grow slowly into plants Soon will be harvest ______________________________

Week of slow growth followed by an accelerated growth pattern after the second set of leaves appeared. Hopefully, she will continue her growth without getting leggy. _________________________________ Young seedling gears up, Light provides the mechanism. Another uneventful week. Her growth rate has picked up and she puts on leaves daily. I have not filled up the reservoir as I usually wait for root development. Should fill up soon. In the meantime, I provide water in small volumes. Watered in a 1/4 gallon of water with wetting agent and comfrey ferment. She liked that. Finally concluded she is not a seedling anymore. I raised the PPFD to around four hundred to start her VEG, even though flower could be as early as a month away. ___________________________ Roots reach deep in soil Reservoir water empty She will be refreshed ___________________________

Uneventful week. Filled reservoir and lowered light to provide higher PPFD for Veg. I'll keep an eye on her in case I was too early with filling reservoir. I did note that soil moisture increased to 50%. I also moved the humidifier so it would no longer blow directly at the plant. She is quite a dwarf. :-) 4/12 - Removed some fan leaves and topped to aid side branching. Let's see if that will foster some growth if we force auxin to other parts of the plant. _________________________________ Small plants grow larger Plant will certainly start stretch Maturity takes patience ----------------------------------

She is progressing, albeit very slowly, having reached a height of 10 inches. Auxins are forcing branching to occur after topping. I think this grow may be the only one I will not train as vigorously as I do usually, as this girl is slow. I'll keep her lightly defoliated when needed. I may need some help from Tim the wizard... 4/21 - reservoir is empty. Will wait a day to fill. Ecowitt is showing 44% moisture level. 4/22 - Filled reservoir with rainwater. 4/24 - Time for pre-flower top dress! Used eight cups of BuildAFlower top dress for just such an occasion. ____________________________________ Cleese forgot the line There are some who call me...Tim May need some help Tim. -------------------------------------

Great week. Unprecedented growth since germination and she really approved of the top dress. Topped her and feel that this will enhance the number of bud sites that will be available for flower. May have set me back a couple weeks, but her growth lately is vigorous. I'll have to wait and see the effects of my actions. 4/28 - Gave the girls a drink and filled reservoir with rainwater. _______________________________ Growth with vigor now Top Dress with BuildAFlower Topped to increase buds -------------------------------

Last week was a terrific week of vigorous growth. She is starting to stink and has many bud sites. Will need to scrog as I am a little behind due to the slow growth up to 2 weeks ago. Now she is on fire. Placed scrog net over the girl and now just pulling down branches under scrog to expand and flatten the canopy. Will continue to train until stretching, which is already evident, slows down. 5/8 - filled reservoir again. Girls are very thirsty and showing vigorous growth.

Momentous week. She is now growing almost an inch a day. Amazing vigor! 5/13 - Will have to get a second scrog net. Hope it arrives tomorrow! Reservoir was bone dry, filled her up... 5/14 - Scrog arrived. She took to the training well... 5/15 - Refilled reservoir. 5/20 - Sorry. Have been sick and unable to update for awhile.

Great couple of weeks. Been ill, so my son came over to help lollipop and defoliate. Hands off water only and she is a monster! Buds are stacking and beginning to bulk up.

Buds forming nicely. Quite a hands off grow due to illness. Will probably harvest next week.
