This is the only seed from 6 purchased from Garden Of Green that germinated. The germination method was a soak in warm room temp purified water for 48 hours. This was considerably longer than I've had to soak seeds in the past. Once a tail was visible She was then placed into Fox Farms Ocean Forrest soil in a 5-gallon plastic pot. Worm castings were mixed in with the soil and was given in liberal amounts of purified water at room temp. The pot is left on the higher humidity side of the 4x8 tent. Water was given once the soil was dry and she popped her head out of the soil on 3/5/2023. Water was just given at the time of the photo and the stick was placed to start training. The water was purified and a tablespoon of worm castings was dissolved into it before feeding. Lighting is about 18 inches over the top of the pot and set at 100%. She will be on an 8/16 light schedule for roughly half of her life cycle. Once she starts budding she will go to a 24/7 light schedule. There is a fan on her to encourage trunk growth and she will be misted with purified water 4 to 5 times a day. There is also classical music in the tent in the hopes that every little trick in the book will encourage the best growth possible.
Added a DIY Co2 generator to the tent. 5gal Home Depot bucket with Sugar and yeast. Nothing has changed from last week other than the Co2 generator. It's set on a timer to run with the lights. I've used Exhale bags in the past and probably won't go back to them as sugar and yeast in a 5-gallon bucket will last 2 weeks and is cheaper and produces more Co2.
This seed was purchased from Garden of Green Seeds. It was 1 of 6 seeds that actually germinated. I can only assume they are a middleman for Expert Seeds. They refuse to respond to any of my emails in regard to their Germination guarantee. For the money spent and the number of seeds that were viable, this was a huge disappointment. So I will not be purchasing seeds from them in the future and I don't recommend anyone else purchase from them either. Just my opinion on a bad transaction and refusal to respond to two very polite emails on their end. Bad business is all that is.
I've decided not to LST this lady as she is an Auto. I added Superthrive and Cal-mag at the beginning of the week and watched for any nutrient burn. The soil im using is all organic and I figured it would cover most of the bases nute wise so I thought I may be overdoing it, but after getting through a couple of days without any burn I decided to start her on nute boost 2x a week.
Good growth this week. Same feeding routine as last week. Nothing new added. Noticed some fungus gnats towards the end of the week so I added some glue boards. I also started bottom feeding to deter egg laying. If the problem persists ill up it to DE powder.
The lil lady is looking good this week. Same nutrient mix as last week. I've increased the lighting schedule to 23 hours. No other changes, no sign of deficiencies.
Both Runtz moved to Flower tent. They can be seen in front of the flowering ladies in the background. Nutes are now Phos heavy once every three feedings. The Runtz on the left has clearly gone full-on flower but the one on the right is just barely transitioning. The flowering ladies in the background are an older Gelato run that should be going to harvest this next weekend or the weekend after.
Everything is going smoothly this week. No real massive changes. Same feeding schedule. Buds are a little fluffy so I'm hoping they fill out. Although they have quite a ways to go. The fear I always get every time I have plants in flower. lol Fortunately they are not fox tailing so things are all good.
Very close to harvest. Still waiting on trichomes to hit 70% amber. I've moved it up in the tent to sit in the net rather than use twine to hold it all up. This also allows more light to penetrate the middle of the plant now that I've unbound it. Colas are very heavy and dense.
Quite a ways into flower and were doing well. I, either way over did it on nutes or under did it and burned all the plants in the flower tent. I did a flush and reset all the nutes. Hopefully, I caught the issue. At this point, only time will tell.
Trichomes have finally gone cloudy. Still, none have gone amber. No changes in the outward appearance. The Colas are looking very healthy. No real change in girth and length. I am really looking forward to harvesting.
I missed a posting last week so I am catching up. No changes. 14 going into 15 weeks still no amber trichomes. Still more white pistols than orange. Colas are massive and heavy. Really looking forward to harvesting this lady.
No changes this week. Still waiting on amber trichomes. Still more white pistols than orange. Not really sure what's up with this lady. She's already 5 weeks over her due date and I'm not seeing any major signs she's finishing up. Colas are starting to grow oddly. I'm thinking I am going to have to harvest her very soon despite trichomes.
