She is growing well. Going to try increasing the humidity a bit. I am hoping she is soon done growing tall or I might need to consider sweeping the middle branch to the side gently as the light is as high up as it can get.
A little worried it is still growing tall. I think my lights are up as high as they can go. Aside from that there are many buds and I am very excited to see them fill out.
The plant keeps dropping leaves. I hope it is a carryover from it being to hot in the tent. It looks like I am going to have to start supporting some of the branches. Can’t believe there are still 5 weeks left to go.
Leaves continue to fall off. I am not sure if I am letting it get too dry or if I am over feeding it. The buds are fattening up nicely so I might just monitor.
Buds are getting too big for the branches to support themselves. Starting to smell a little as well. Trichomes have some purple in them. Looks like that shouldn’t be a concern. Going to switch to overdrive this week instead of big bud.
I struggle with trichome milky versus clear, but we harvested today anyway as I believe I saw the start of some amber trichomes. This plant was amazingly huge! I will post pictures of the harvest next week once it is dried and weighed.
I loved growing this plant. I would absolutely grow it again and recommend it. Note that the grams is dry not wet. I neglected to notice that before and didn’t weigh it wet.
Anything you learned in particular that GMP favors? After seeing your results, I wish I didn’t top! At first it was my best growing plant, most resilient. Lately in flower, with a super busy top canopy the lower growth is dying off. Yours is goals!(edit) I see you had temps of 95. At max I’m at 82. I had a similar issue w lower/smaller growth drooping dying. In my previous environment it was a bit cooler, but none of these signs. Maybe she runs cold
@Blinkcar44, I am not sure I have really good advice. I had the 6” fan running 24/7, my SF4000 lights set to about 75% and every other day I fed it with the advanced nutrients ph perfect blend. On the alternate days I fed it cal mag. After the first two weeks of flowering I added big bud to the ph mix and 3 weeks before the finish I switched the big bud to overdrive for two weeks and then just gave water the last week. My tent was always hot and dry.
Hi Sparkle,
I'm on week 5 of flower with grandmommy purple. i'm growing outdoors and the colas are starting to droop just like yours did. looks like ia am going to have to "Macgyver" something to keep them from bending too much over the next 4 weeks. This strain is sticky as all get out. I hope the smoke is worth all the trouble of this strains massive bud size?
Thanks for your post it confirmed that this strain has some massive genetics for me.
Hi Sparkle, I'm Puffy and i am also growing grandmommy purple. Your plant looks great looking forward to your review on the effects and flavour. I can see that you might have benefited from using a scrog. it would have saved you the hassle of tying up those sticky colas. We've all been there.
take care,
Puffy Clouds
