3 NL Auto germinated, transplanted to 8l pots. One watered with 1l including nutrients. Other 2 watered with minimal spraying to maintain moisture in top level of grow medium. Seed 1 - germinated in jiffy plug then transplanted to 8l pot. Seed 2 & 3 - germinated in paper towel till root emerged, transplanted to jiffy plug then transplanted to 8l pots once shoots emerged from jiffy plug. Seed 4 (big bang auto) - still germinating in paper towel as of 18/03 23/03 Seed 2 stretching and never had the cotyledon leaves open up even after a week. Have removed to concentrate on the two healthier seeds. Watered the two remaining seeds with PH6.3 water and 0.3ml of feed per litre, little bit of CalMag. Seem to look OK at the moment.

Grow Questions

Are these first leaves showing some yellowing or is this a normal shade for leaves at this point. Just wondering if I might have overfed the plants, or even the opposite. If anyone was able to share what they think it would be extremely appreciated.

Way too early for feeding growmie it's fine though as it should recover feed it water for a few times when it is more dryer. The best thing to do is start with like 2ml per litre the lowest on the manufacturer bottle I found after I build it up from the lowest they can handle loads after starting low and I never get any lockouts just do one feeding one watering I have done one feeding two watering and back to the feed I find they don't mind either. I can see you haven't stated if it's autoflower or photoperiod I find photoperiod ones thrive in any soil but autoflowers require alot more air through the growing medium like perlite or something. And last of all don't over water or over feed if your unsure of the moisture inside of the grow medium pop your finger slightly in the medium if it's wet it doesn't need anymore if it isn't give her some water.

Hi mate good luck with your first grow 🌱 🌱 🌱My advice don’t water to often and too much (check pot by weight or when it’s dry above 2-3 cm .. use light doses of nutrients and defoliate not so hard, because you are stressing plants too much in vegetation stage and they are stunted in growth because they are recovering all time from stress … my choice for autoflowering strains is Good mixed soil (i’m using always Top Crop advanced mix).

Thanks guys! Two of them looking pretty good for nearly the end of the first week I think. Been reading and reading to try to get watering and feeding correct for CocoCoir, the general consensus seems to be water often with runoff every time (perhaps not as much in the first two weeks) and feed every single feed with Coco designed nutrients and some calmag. Starting off the nutes at 1/4 or so of the recommended amount and will increase once the plants get bigger.
