Germinated Nirvana Northern Lights fem in paper towel, then transplanted to Jiffy pellet, then placed in solo cup.
Currently using 80/20 coco coir/perlite.
No nutrients at all yet. Watered around 40mL tap water (pH 5.9-6.2) up until 4V, then realised I was over watering so no water since.
Around 5V, I started to think there was some leaf discolouration (dark leaf creases and veins and pale elsewhere). I’m not worried about it, I think it’s probably nothing to worry about.
Thought the growth rate had stalled a bit around 6V, but then checked out some grow diaries for the same strain and realised she looks right on track.
Looking gorgeous so far.
Started to give nutes on 9V, I’m using GHE 6/9 as a starting formula. Also changed my watering schedule and started watering everyday from 9V, I read that plants in coco respond well to this seeing as I should treat it like hydro not soil.
I moved her under the UFO LED light on 12V, growth ramped up straight away. Particularly impressed with the growth spurt she had in the last 24 hours (14V).
No ill effects really from the daily watering or the weak nutes except for a couple of tiny burnt tips I noticed on 14V. They’re tiny, so I snapped a pic and will just keep an eye on it.
Hoping to transplant mid to late next week
Transplanted on 17V to a 250mm plastic pot, 70/30 coco/perlite mix.
Gave her a good water with full strength GH 6/9 when I transplanted, then gave her a few dry days. Started watering again on 21V. Plan is full strength nutes from now on until flush.
Also topped at the 4th node on 21V.
Had a couple of hot, dry days this week, but no issues. This plant seems super bushy. Spaces between the nodes are super short (~5-10mm) and the leaves are all very close together.
