Growth started to take off. Changed from led to HPS. As you see in the week after I learnt that my light was wayyyyy to close and they started to mess up!
So I realised that after 1000 things to check my light was too close. So I waiting 1.5 weeks with carefully looking over them every day to try and nurse them back before switching to flower
So after the first 12hours of darkness they finally erected from the dead ! They are nicely on track and I think switching them to flower really sorted them out! I will now wait for 1 week until I prune the leaves to allow the buds to breathe !
2nd week of flower. Really taking off, this strain is very bushy! So if done a little trimming again making sure all bud sites have direct light. Huge intakes of water now which is great to smash them nutrients in! Plants look so much more healthier than when in veg, very glad of this. Can't wait to see what week 9 (3rd week veg) brings ! All on track
Ok so here is week 3 of flowering.
They are really taking off now, you can't see from the pictures but the R/H rear one is 5ft and touching the light almost ! Had to make the light higher and up the water intake too. Going to put the tent back to full size tomorrow, let them grow freely! I may also add the second light to make sure every leaf gets that light ! I've slowly defoliated, but I think that will be enough now up until week 6/7 flower where I will take most off for that final bulk up! So pleased with these plants I thought I lost it all! After all it is my first of many.
Buds starting to form, pistils coming on and some crystals appearing. Took a few more leaves off to air it out a little and make all the focus on the buds! Going to leave any leaves now unless they grow over bud sites. From tomorrow I will be switching to overdrive ! Exciting times
So we just ended another week, this week I have switched the big bud to the over drive. After next week I will be looking to flush if all is going well! Plants have stopped stretching thank god as the one at the back stand 5.5ft tall!! So many bud sites Im getting excited to see the final result !
Week 6 of flowering complete. Stalks are approx 1-2 inch thick. All leaves looking real healthy. Really starting to bulk up! Smell is around the same no crazy outbursts yet ! So eager to get to the end now!
No major changes...the kings tart plant pistils have all change to brown, trichomes are 50/50 clear to milky... Started to flush it and waiting for them amber trichomes.not the biggest yield on this plant I don't think but time will tell. Other 4 plants doing really well, packing on the size ! Going to add a little PK to get all them nutrients in
Hello Novicegreen, the weed is the most potent when most of the trichomes are cloudy and around 10% got a amber brownish color.
Make sure that you look at the trichomes that grow on the buds and not just the trichomes on the sugar leaves. And look at multiple different spots on the bud to get a good picture from the ripeness of the full bud instead of just 1 small part.

Buds are really dense…small but dense. Far away from what they should weigh but as stated in the previous weeks I kinda fried them a little! But it’s taught me a lot of things! Looking forward to the next one !
