Double Dream & AJ Sour Diesel

Picked up these healthy clones today from Golden Gate SF Dispensary. Double Dream and AJ Sour Diesel. Not many journals out there with these strains at all so I think this will be one of the firsts out there. Cheers !

This is week three of vegetative state for both double dream and sour diesel. so far I LST'd both plants from the base and they are growing with big green leafy fan leaves and taking the new environment well. I picked up a couple of new sensors by blue lab guardian monitor which I purchased used for about $150 each. pretty good steel considering that these normally retail for 400 to $500. in terms of conditions we're running about 1:30 to 180 PPM at 71 degrees Fahrenheit and about 5.8 pH level.

Welcome back growers! we're here at the end of week 4 for vegetation for double dream and AJ sour diesel. exciting times as I finish setting up the blue lab guardians from a hanging position so it's easy to view for my camera. both plants are looking extremely healthy and close to about 16 inches in total vertical height. in terms of conditions were running about 150 PPM at 66 degrees Fahrenheit and 6.2 pH level. So far so good I am planning on installing a carbon filter with a high speed hydro farm fan that I used in my past grows. the conditions in San Francisco are pretty moderate as per usuals. this week I included a few photos of the white root growth that's going on in the buckets. I'm using hydro guard to continue the strong white root growth I think that that was important in the past grows to maintain a thick root structure.

Welcome back growers! we are here at week 5 vegetation. coming back from a long trip in Lake Tahoe included a picture of getting buried under multiple feet of snow. but in the tent we have some serious growth with a lot of new branches sprouting out. this week I incorporated a lot of LST techniques of about 3 to 4new LST clips to bend the plant in different directions. in terms of conditions we're running 160 PPM at 65 degrees Fahrenheit with a 6.0 ph. The root growth continues to be substantial however there is a little bit of nitrogen deficiency that you can see at the bottom of the plant. I will continue to monitor the pH levels for proper nitrogen intake. also adding more of the grow solution from advanced nutrients .

This is midweek 6. didn't have time to take too many pictures because I was heading to Lake Tahoe to catch the powder. The plants are looking really good where the AJ sour diesel is stretching pretty significantly almost twice the size of the double dream. we're running 160 PPM and about 5.8PH level. I started doing some LST in the sour diesel and a little bit on the double dream but the double dream is a little bit bushier as opposed to lengthier. Starting to see a little bit of nitrogen and or manganese deficiency so I'm going to up the nutrients slightly.

This is the first week of flowering on the 1212 cycle. the plants are looking bushier than ever and the sour diesel continues to stretch even taller while double dream keeps up with a bushier profile. still somewhat dealing with a nitrogen and or manganese deficiency that's starting to show on the bottom of the plant. we'll continue to further the dosage on some of that micro solution to keep up with it . currently running about 150 PPM in the low 6.0 range for pH level. assuming my hydroponic pH might be a little bit too high so I'm gonna try to get closer to 5.8 to make sure the nutrient uptake is better. Adding bloom in the nutrient mix as well

End of week 8 total this is the end of week two flowering. I feel like I was able to solve the early nitrogen deficiencies. the leaves are pretty green and growing evenly now where the double dream is almost equally as tall if not bushier than the AJ sour diesel. Major highlight for this week is that the flowering has really started where you can see the white hair starting to show especially on the double dream which makes sense because this seems like it will finish flowering maybe a week or two earlier. Running about 300 to 350 PPM out of 5.8 to 6.0 pH level.

Growth continues to be very strong across both plants but the double dream is a little bit shorter so I elevated the bucket with a box underneath. the white hairs continue to grow and you could start to see the nugs Plump up. I'm currently running at about 80 degrees Fahrenheit and 32% RH. I forgot to mention that I also added in my external carbon scrubber which is going into an 8 inch duct which has been very clutch in terms of the smell that's been percolating. for reference the smell has been pretty much filling my entire house and so since I installed this good CFM fan from hydro farm with the carbon filter the smell is virtually nonexistent while it's running. on the negative side I think I'm starting to see a little bit more yellowing on the double dreamwhich is a little bit early for this flowering stage so I'm going to monitor it and dose the nitrogen accordingly. I believe I flushed during this week as well for reference.

End of week four flowering. Week 10 total end Looking really good today with the crystals starting to really form and the stickiness on the nugs really start to develop. The double dream is probably the stickiest with quite the dank aroma kind of like a sweet smell. The way that the strain is described on public websites is that it has a sweet floral note with berries and spice and I think you can really smell it off of the plant itself with very light crystallization and light green color on the nugsit's getting very sticky.

End of week 5 flowering. Week 11 total end. Starting to implement a few more nug building techniques such as back building and defoliation so that there's not too much humidity in the tent. I've also purchased a new tower fan that I saw in someone's grow which looks like it's going to be fantastic for ventilation especially as these girls continue to get more and more bushy. Notice timidity is inching up to about 37% at 77 degrees Fahrenheit but this seems like ideal temperatures and conditions for the babies. Starting to really see the nugs plump up

End of week six flowering. Week 12 total end. April 15, 2023 Continuous growth in the scene the buds really start to plump up. Can definitely see that the double dream should finish within 8 to 9 weeks versus the sour diesel finishing within 10 weeks. There is still some bleaching on some of the leaves with some dots on it indicating a manganese deficiency which I've been addressing. May start todo another flushif symptoms continue to digress on some of those leaves butit's not really negatively affecting the bud growth from blasting up

Welcome back growers. we are hereat the end of week 7 April 22nd, 2023 flowering. PH level at about 5.7and PPM levels at about 300 to 350. the trichomes are developingvery nicely and both are creating a very unique aroma. you can really tell that a double dream is a week or two ahead of the AJ sour diesel . for a smell testsmelling the double dreamas a stickier earthier aroma to it. AJ sour diesel has a fruitier smell to it. experiencing the natural nitrogen deficiency towards the end of the life as I'm about to harvest in about 1 to two weeks. also experiencing a little bit of light burn I should have moved the light up earlier but I'm starting to see the bleaching of the leaves a little bit which also has some dots which could be a little bit of a manganese issue. in terms of recent tweaks that I did to the grow I added another rock stone to both bubble buckets to increase the aeration to the roots because the roots are becoming absolutely massive. Note to self I should probably start keeping better track and journaling of the root growth in the bubble buckets so I can compare it on further growth ...
