I have planted around 25 seeds. Five Sweet ZZ seeds where by far superior regarding germination time, vigor, growth rate. They are one of the quickest growing seedlings I've experienced in a long time. They look beautiful.
Royal queen seeds take on Zkittlez. These plants are super strong and fast growing. Can't wait to see them thrive. All is going fine except other plants that sprouted along seem tiny in comparison :) I also have guys coming to install AC and external window blinders so i have to keep the veg tent closed in the kitchen 🤦♂️🏻😅
Moved to final pots. Airdomes set up with new airstones. The original foam tubes got clogged with roots very fast on the last grow. I will show You guys how this works later.
Love the new lamp it's my first bar style led. Coverage an uniformity is phenomenal.
Cheers!
Another week has gone by. Sweet ZZ is going really strong. It's the most vigorous strain I had in a long time. Royal gorilla was also bad ass but this one is really special.
It's the first day of 12 hours of light. I have 8 plants in 150x150cm dark room. Do you think they will fill up this space? Or should I put one more plant in there? I have couple more in the next tent.
I made a mistake in a first week and put the new led light too close. It shocked the plants and they didn't grow much vegetatively. Although they started stacking flowers slowly. I am really hoping they will still make some nice buds.
Things are progressing slowly. I think the plants recovered. Be careful with the six bar LEDs driven by HPS ballast. Even on 600w it puts out really strong. It was way too high ppfd for first and second week of flowering. Now the lamp is 50 cm above the top of canopy. Back from 80cm where I raised it to et them recover.
I am also battling fungus gnats. Yesterday all the plants have been watered with Neem oil.
I'm fighting fungus gnats for some time now. Ive tries spinosad (organic bacteria derived compound), neem oil, neem tree extract. Every one of them did something to limit their numbers. Today I ve watered each one with 500 ml of water containing around 750000 predatory nematodes that feed on fungus gnats larvae. We Will see how theyll respond.
For the first time also I've used ratio of clay pebbles to coco closer to 50:50 and I think canna coco is a little to low on potasium for such mix. I ve experienced some potasium deficiency on a couple of biggest plants.
Other than that I think they, are doing fine despite my mistake with light intensity and ventilation in the beginning of flowering.
It's been a pretty steady week. Some problems in other tent that I cant figure out.
The middle tree that gets mist of the light is hungry monster but I think I managed to find the sweet spot between this and the rest. So other plants are not very overfed.
