Transplant all went ok, had started them in jiffy pucks, then moved to peat moss then final move into expanded clay.
Decided last minute to add another 6 pots.. so will have to flip reasonably early I expect to avoid overcrowding the scrip net.
1st week and no dramas.. topped a few that had gotten to the fifth node, will start LST in a couple of days.
Need to hookup my chiller as water temps 2 degrees higher than I’d like. And I will have to build a humidifier soon too. And I also have to hookup the aircon unit in the next week or so.
This has been smooth sailing this week.. plants needing minimal attention, gave a foliar feed with a weak cal/mag/nitrogen mix. Am about to drop the tank and flush for a day and then redose with nutes. Trialing a bi-weekly flush this time.. see how it goes.
This week has been troublesome.. had a plant show severe wilt/droop one morning and despite being proactive in trying to revive it.. I am losing the battle. I have isolated that plant and another that is looking similar thinking some possible root pathogen issue to blame.. however I ended up floating one out and examining the roots and can’t see or smell any sign of rot.. it’s got me puzzled, for now they are isolated in plant hospital.
Good week, I think I am done tucking the scrog for this run, screen has filled out reasonably well and am happy with all the room variables. I did add some beneficial bacteria as my ph spiked a few times and my res tank felt a little slimy.. so fingers crossed that takes care of that.
Week has been ok, did what I’m guessing was the final tuck into the Scrog net. Will give another couple of weeks and then do second defoliation.
Managed to control what was probably a pythium outbreak.. used great white enzymes and another enzyme/bacteria mix and it cleared up and ph stabilised within a day or so.
Had a disaster this week.. I had to head away for a few days, left a friend to manage things.. had the light timers pack it in, and then reprogrammed completely wrong, also had one of my return lines for my dehumidifier unplugged and had 20L of water spilled all over my floor and electrical gear. My poor girls were so stressed when I got back they had mutated a few new leaves.
Not happy.
I’m starting flush today, plan on flushing for min 2 weeks.. some say don’t worry about it, I say you do you, I’ll do me.
Had a look at some samples under the scope today and saw some nice milky clusters on there, not a lot of amber yet but after two weeks I expect they will be right.
I have also decided to dial the lights back 50% and dropped the temps down in the room and also in the res tank.
Bit sad this week, my Jack herer which was showing so much promise was riddled with mould.. I was planning on revegging her and keeping her as a mother as well.. but I get the feeling with the amount of infection she had that she is too susceptible and not worth keeping. So sad.
Has been a bit of a poor finish to this grow actually.. I tried adding some Epsom salts to bring out the terpines and think I overdid it and caused a big lockout as I have had rapid yellowing crop wide.. it’s either that or the plants don’t like the UV I have added for an hour in the morning and at night. I can’t put it down to senescent yellowing as it was too rapid and prolific.
Lessons learnt.. don’t be lazy when it comes to pruning: lose the leaves and undergrowth
Don’t add two new things to the grow area at once as it makes it difficult to measure/isolate the effects/symptoms on the plants.
Stretch is looking good mate fingers crossed those nodes fill up with some great bud. Let me know if you are up to trade seeds i have some fem auto jack herrers to pass on to try some new strains. Drop me a comment on my feed if you are keen
Peace out brussle sprout
Nice big buds.
Did they skringe much? As they're still wet buds right? Still huge regardless
I grew a PF and it wasn't a huge yield but I got A grade bud. Very very stoney. 1 mate said were did u get this call to me. (Not knowing) ah".....". But yeah GHS strains always have a hint of diesel or gasey in some way which shows in most bud that is strong and dank thc strain. Love this breeder. If you want A grade homegrown easily defo a breeder to go for. Yes easily got with other breeder but require more maintenance. Great strains
Have the pro leaf basic co2 kit. I can only hold a temp of 28-30c for co2 growing in the summer months. As I run a full circulation system so my room is set to that level and my tent holds that co2 with full air ventilation and refresh the room every hr r 2. (I've only 2 months of this) really nice diary i can see where the huge buds comes from. Great job. Nice kit I was gonna get tat 1. But didn't feel like putting 500e out for 1.
I got the 270e 1. Really happy with it. Surprising when I tested some of my rooms especially after sleeping if I'd no windows r doors open the co2 was hitting 1600. 6-800 overall in my home. 800+ in winter about 500 in summer.. Great to see how u can tell if your crop is in peak form. As I gave my whole crop ph'ed water tat was way off. And I wouldn't of known something was wrong with my meter as my plants weren't eating for days. So I figured out my ph pen was off. Had a new 1 arrive and just started seeing signs crop wide of ph issues.
Anyways some fantastic bud will defo be going thru this diary
