Doing great so far.
End of week one and she is looking happy. Have her with another auto under a galaxy 300 w. Transplanting soon to final container. I went a little excessive and did 7 gal pots again. My last grow did very well with 7 gal pots so I figured why not. Anyways, will keep this grow up to date as much as possible. This is my first time using any nutes . went for the go box because its convenient. Any feeding advice for this line up is appreciated, especially with the autos. I'm kind of just jumping in head first here. Lol.
This week is going great! Super healthy and stalky. Loved the transplant and hasnt slowed down since. Only bio root this week. Will water again in about two days, 4-5 days from last watering. She is growing noticibly happier than then my six shooter under the same conditions. I hope shes in veg for at least another week if not two. Fingers crossed!
End of week 3. She is doing well. Growing but not as dense as in would like. She is short and tight but I would like more foliage. Seems like she is going at her own pace which is fine with me. I'm in no rush. Lol.
Just water this week. Will increase feeding to 1/4 reco next week. Tomorrow will be the first time I water the entire substrate will 25% runoff.
The smell is really different then what am used to. Nothing like weed at all. Almost amella like lemon pledge and womens perfume. Lol.
Let me know what you guys think. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
I will list the nutrients and their strength at the end of this comment since the regular nutrient upload area is always glitching.
She is doing great. Small. Not much foliage but plenty of healthy bud sites. She is a freaking contortinist. Loves the lst big time.
As for nutes, only watered once in the last 5 or 6 days with 20% excess water.
All ml. Were fed in 1.5 gal of water.
Bio thrive - 2 ml.
Bio bloom - 1 ml.
CaMg+ - 2 ml.
Bio root - 3 ml.
Bio weed - 1.5 ml.
Bio bud - .75 no
Bio marine - 2.5 ml.
Sneak peak at next weeks entry. I added the second galaxy hydro 300 watt led to the grow room last night, which is shared between my other grow box six shooter auto and in less then 12 hours she grew a few inches! Insane! I mean wow! Check out the last photo. It is in the tent so sorry for all the light but you can see the difference.
Everything is going just as planned. I have found this week and the next few to be the easiest to screw up so I will be watching 👀 her like a hawk! Next feed will have full line up. Flowering is setting in nicely. ✌️
End of week 6. Everything is going well. Only water on last watering. Will water again tomorrow close to full recommended strength. Have been experimenting with more and more nutes and have have had nothing but good results. Not a single burn yet and I plan to keep it that way. She hasnt put on much weight but the buds are getting bigger and there is some trichome development and a noticeable change in the smell.
Messed up the days last week. Today is day 51 of my grow. This week is going well! Feed a heavy dose this week and she responded great. Noticable growth every few days. The smell is increasing as well the trichome development. Having some crazy weather which had the humidity at a high of 80 earlier on in the week and is currently at 20-25 because of strong dry winds. She seems not to care about it though, at least not yet. Hoping for some real weight gain this next week. Fingers crosseed!
Bigger! Stickier! And smellier! A little magnesium deficiency going on. Going to try an nip it in the butt pretty quick. Water going in at 6.1ph and coming out at 6.7. Salt build up in the soil, am going to add 1 to 2 tablespoons of raw coconut water as well as raw kombucha to plain water and then ph. Hopefully that will help break down some of those salts. She is small regardless. Only about 10 bud sites. I went with garden of autos suggestion of lst to increase the yield. I'm guessing about 2 to 3 weeks left. May feed a low dose or two before going straight water. Not really sure yet.
Water water feed. Kombucha and coconut water added to the ph waterings. Flushed today and then watered regular strength. Yellowing got worse this week. Hopefully the flush will help. Weird thing, I went to smell the buds before watering today and they all smelt super grassy. Literally burnt my nose. Then about a minute into watering the strong bud smell came back and the grassy smell went away. Huh. Was worried for a second. This was the last feed. Water only from here on out. I'm thinking about another 2 weeks.
Nearing the end. Defoliated and pulled apart the mass of buds that had all grown into a single main cola. I didn't notice but there were multiple buds all cramed together, blocking out light to the inside. After pulling them apart and carefully tying them down I have been able to increase the airflow, trichome, and overall size while also decreasing the excess nitrogen that had built up in those cramped bud sites. Did all this about 5 days ago and ahe is getting even better. Just a few days left. Also, I cut off a little piece yesterday just cause I'm so desperate. Lol. Next update will be harvest!
Finally! The end has come.
Day 77. Whole plant hanging In paper bag
In dark
Didnt take a wet weight. So many colors poping at the time of the cut.
I starved her of water for about 5 days and then watered today, put her to bed for 4 hours and then cut her down.
I want more water in her roots and stems so that I can have a longer dry.
Will update with a harvest as soon as she's dry.
Overall okay. It was fun growing. Ran into a couple of problems but she turned out alright. Ended up with a little under 2 ounces. About 1.8
The flavor resembles mint chocolate yet the scent is a strong berry, smooth and rich. The high is nice and relaxing. It gets my heart beating but in a good way. Once the high fades the pain relief continues to stay which is great. I have found my self mixing it with some other high thc strains to get a stronger pain relief.
The bud structure isn't great, but what does that matter if I'm going to use most of it to make RSO. Being my first time growing and smoking a cbd dominant strain, I really didn't know what to expect. I would say though that now I have tried this, I may go for a strain closer to a 2:1 or 1:1 ratio of cbd to thc.
@Tonino, thanks!! I'm chopping tonight! Can't wait!
I see that you were able to bring yours back to life. Thats great! I hope she still has some time before flowering starts!
What was your watering cycle? Did you feed every watering? And how much runoff. Sorry for all the questions. You seemed to do everything right for this grow. I would like to do the same haha. Thanks
@Rezdestroyer, that's great information much appreciated. My girls are only 10 days old but growing slowly. The soil already has very little bit of muted. So I didn't start feeding just yet.
What type of light are you using? Thanks again
@Salgeezi, hey. 3 to 5 gal would work fine, especially given this is a pretty low yielding strain and it doesn't get that big at all. I just like the 7 gal. Though I actually only have about 5 gal worth of soil in the air pot.
I give 2.5 to 3 gal of water every time and have just under a gallon of runoff water( water that come out the bottom).
As for feeding, she doesn't need a whole lot. I would pay more attention to the quality of the soil. As in making sure there is plenty of healthy bacteria to help assimilate those nutes and to prevent any type of lockout or salt build up. Thats where I messed up and will be trying recharge or another healthy bacterial to add to my soil next time. Compost tea works too.
I feed 1/16 recomended dosage at first and that's every watering for the first few weeks.
After going into flower, dosage increased from 1/8 to 1/4 every other watering. I got up to a half dosage maybe a little more for my last two feedings.
Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
Two weeks looks perfect, but if you are watering every 4 days or so, you might want to water one more additional time, but that's an item up for debate. (I'm a newb). Great job on your flowers bud!
@Rezdestroyer, well don't forget that yellowing of leaves at this point is completely natural. It means that the flowers are ripening. So don't take on all the blame, some is normal. I found out I had accidentally given two products (bloom and ripe) one week and I shouldn't have. Thus I cooked my plants up good. Lesson learned. Each time we make a mistake it's a time to learn. Try to go back in your grow and see if you made any mistakes. Else, just give less nutrients next time. Also, plants react differently, some handle stress better than others. A different plant will produce different results. Your doing fine!
@BeefWellingtons, Thank you senior Wellington. I would really like to feed at least one more time but my nute lock out is out of control. Its so bad I really don't think the plants are getting much of what I'm giving them which means all that crap is just sitting in the soil :(
I dont know where I went wrong :/
Looking beautiful man. Just picked up these seeds as well. We'll see how it goes. I'm using 3 gallon fabric pots. Hopefully that doesn't play a factor in size of plant. I feel like 7 gallon is over kill. Seems to be working well for you tho
@Tonino, my first two auto I transplanted from a solo cup to a one gal and then to a seven gal and had no stress or slow of growth. I actually pulled almost 5 oz between the two and with only one 130 watt led. So I really think that as long as you are super Carful not to damage any of the roots when transplanting, it really helps. This time around I just went straight from the solo to the 7 gal and she definitely took a while to adapt to the large change. But in your case I would start in solo for first two weeks and then transfer to your final pot. Hope that helps.
@Tonino, thanks. I am having a issue with ph fluctuations causing mag def.
Is your girl growing too slow? I would suggest starting out in solo cup and then transfering. That's what I do for all my autos. Any other issues with her yet?
coming along nicely bro! I would not worry too much about the yellowing of the leaf. It is mainly the older leafs and that is completely normal. The fragrance pallet will also fully develop in these last weeks. It looks good! hopefully a fantastic harvest
@Rezdestroyer, I notice the same thing with my grows. the growth in this period is slightly less than the previous ones. but from experience I know that they explode in the last weeks 👊
acutely a this point your 300W can supply way more that your plant needs obviously depends on the distance from the plant the best thing is to have a meter of some sort .the best is to meter PAR value max level at maturity is 900 par (a bit more whit c02) or meter LUX (not ideal but better then nothing) max level at maturity is 75 000
@Rezdestroyer,like I was saying PAR metering is most accurate reading but more expensive https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0055F59LA/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvpv2_3?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_p=4e3c86df-9bbb-4a60-8164-aadd52e0639c&pd_rd_wg=feCdU&pf_rd_r=E2Z40R0NM3HQAMEEJZ27&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-bottom-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B0055F59LA&pd_rd_w=cuvMy&pf_rd_i=par+meter&pd_rd_r=f065bbb3-8d79-432c-b0a2-e66541dc2a21&ie=UTF8&qid=1537113511&sr=3
but LUX meter is better than nothing https://www.amazon.ca/Dr-Meter-Digital-Light-Meter-Illuminance/dp/B005A0ETXY/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1537113602&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=lux+meter
@bluetonic, thank you bluetonic. I have already learned that she likes to be watered more often than not. Unlike my six shooter who does fine with longer periods of no water.
