This plant took a while but I felt like it was necessary to fully mature. Those flowers that are called pre flower have dried off, every spike hat some fresh and some more mature flowers on it and I found amber trichomes at the elder flowers and just milky white trichomes at the majority of all flowers. We had some days with no clouds and full June sun and heat and a lot of dry winds, thus the aroma flattened somehow unluckily. It used to have pleasant lemon citrus notes that almost dissappeared as the days got warmer. However, the flowers where still getting bigger and the Trichomes were still more developing than degrading, so I waited. I did harvest some buds and 2.5 main twigs earlier, so they are missing in the latest pictures. The flowers tend to be more loose and airy and instead of massive head buds, this bred developed 'spikes' with more or less evenly distributed buds along a longer portion of the stem.
The high is nice and energetic and I got in working mode, but after consuming a bit more, I can fall asleep easily. It was very tolerant against cold temperatures and intense sunlight, it was very healthy throughout it's lifespan. Some aphids attacked in the last week as many aphids are active now. I did not treat and now that the host is dead, they have fallen off.
I did not water it much since may and exposed it to drought stress, as I have heard this enhances quality. I wanted the fan leaves to senescate to promote allocation into the buds, but maybe the aroma was better if I watered slightly more often in the heat. But all in all I am happy with the results and hopefully they dry and cure well
Hi there,
this is my first time growing Hulkberry Auto from RQS and apart from one outdoor summer grow 10 years ago, it is my second growing season. I have started this seed at 07/02/2023 indoors, intending to veg it into a big plant and then getting it used to outdoor conditions while flowering, so the plant has plenty of leaf surface area to catch the strong spring sun.
I did top it at the 3rd node and formed a cross shape with the 4 emerging side branches. I chose a relatively wide pot so I could fix the upward growth into a horizontal position.
