Dr_Boom Hello all, and welcome to my diary. This will be a minimalist grow. I will start the seed inside and then bring her outdoors. I will be using Dr. Earth organic dry fertilizer and Fox Farm soil. My goal is to have a plant that requires minimal attention, while still producing a good harvest. Let's see what happens!

Dr_Boom And we're off. I'm not adding nutrients yet. I'm just letting her establish herself and get a good start. No issues so far.

Dr_Boom She is well established, so I repotted her to a 5-gal pot and brought her outside. I also started top dressing with Dr. Earth Home Grown. I am going to Europe for 2 weeks, so I put in a wicking system to keep the soil moist while I'm gone. I am also having a friend check on her every few days.

Dr_Boom Not a lot to report. The wicking system seems to be working well so far. I sprayed her with Crop Defender, and it may have burnt her a little. We will see.

Dr_Boom I had a bad mite infestation. I sprayed with neem oil every other day. She lost some foliage, but is recovering nicely. She's a strong girl. Look at that stalk!
I did a little HST to spread her out where I topped her. She took it well!

Dr_Boom Looks like she's going into flower. I'm switching to Dr. Earth Premium Gold fertilizer for early flower. I'm top amending the soil with 1 tablespoon per gal, so she gets 5 tablespoons every two weeks until late flower.

Dr_Boom Coming along nicely. I top dressed nutrients again this week.
Dr_Boom This Super OG Kush by @kannabia_seeds is a great example of excellent breeding. She has been very resistant to pests and 100°f temperatures. Her buds are bulking up nicely with organic nutrients. She has been great for an outdoor grow.

Dr_Boom I love how this plant looks. The leaf to bud ratio suggests she will be fairly easy to trim. So far, she's a very easy grow.

Dr_Boom I chopped her towards the middle of the week. The cold temperatures' brought out the purple in this girl!
I only popped one seed to see how she grew. She germinated quickly and was a strong grower. l had a mite infection early when I brought her outside, but she held up well and recovered quickly. She grew pretty large in a 5 gal. She produced 4 oz of good bud and about 2 oz of nice trim for tincture.
I would recommend this cultivar to anyone, from beginner to expert. She was an easy grower, took topping like a pro, and produced some beautiful purple leaves when exposed to 40 degree F temps outside.

Dr_Boom This was a pretty easy grow. As I stated at the start of this diary, I wanted a minimalist grow. One that would not require a lot of attention from me. I consider that a success. I top dressed every two weeks and aside from the mite infestation later in veg I didn't have any problems. The mites came from a clone provided to me from a "friend". Well, I learned a valuable lesson. Wash any new clones with a 1 to 10 bleach to water ratio bath and isolate them from the rest of your grow for a couple weeks.
This strain is pretty much idiot proof in my opinion. I just watered her ever other day and let her grow.
She was very resistant to bud rot, unlike some other outdoor plants that I had going. Her bud to leaf ratio was pretty good. I appreciated that when I trimmed her up after an eight day hang dry. I like to dry longer, but she was more than ready at 8 days. The buds would snap right off the main stem, which is what I look for when I trim and start the cure.
I washed the cut plant with a 3 bucket wash. The first bucket had mixture of water, lemon juice, and baking soda. The second had hydrogen peroxide and water mixture, and the third was plain water. I used a ratio of 1/2 cup of each to 4 gal water. This removed a lot of the dirt, bugs, and other contaminants from the buds.
It is apparent that this is a stable cultivar and I give Kannabia a shout out for that. I will grow this again, but this time I will grow her indoor to see how she does. As far as outdoor, this girl was well suited for a hot and humid climate.
