Here we grow again! This diary is for the CocoforCannabis SAFC grow challenge. Well I said I would be a while before trying autoflower again, but then my wife tells me that she won "some" seeds in an Instagram contest. Turns out she won 5 packs of beans from Crossbone Genetics! I've been following on IG for a while and all his stuff has looked 🔥so far so pretty stoked to try this again. Going to aim for 500 umol/s and 18 hour light cycle. Currently 300 umol and 18 hour light, will be increasing this week to 500 once first set of leaves fully in. Here we grow again!

Well the week is done and the plants seem like they're off to a good start! Moved to the 4x4 for two weeks due to overcrowding in the 3x3, I may have started a bit too much food for the outdoor garden hahaha. When watering making sure to keep the water at least 1" away from the plant to make sure I don't drown the roots. Not used to autoflower so I'm finding it a bit different starting in the final pot vs potting up with photos. Looking forward to this run, so far so good! 🤞

Well another week past and so far so good! Basically just watered and didn't touch them all week, then last day of week (day 21) gave #1 a topping and started LST on #2. #1 had 5 full sets so topped at the fourth and 🤞but the cut looks very clean. Maybe give #2 a bit of time to catch up. Will be interesting to see the difference of topped VS LST. Still in the bigger tent, but will be back in the 3x3 by the end of the week. Cheers!

Up up and away! Both these girls are growing at a nice fast pace, doubled in size this week and looking pretty good. Was a little worried when had a small training accident and accidently gave #2 a heavy topping, but it didn't really seem to phase her and she just kept on trucking! So the experiment of training vs topping is no more hahaha. By the end of the week both plants big enough got ties on all the branches and really started stretching them out. Oh and it's gonna be the last week of veg, because by day 28 could see the start of flower! Can't believe we're a third of the way already. Also a topping on day 28 of All purpose and power bloom 50/50.

Well both girls are into flower, but #1 is easily a week ahead of #2. Haven't seen a lot of stretch in #1 yet but the flowering is coming on fast! #2 on the other hand is growing at a faster rate than before and looks like just starting flower so probably just beginning to stretch. Did work on the LST throughout the week, keeping the plants nice and flat as they grow. Now that they're widened out will let them gain some height. Also noticed that #2 has decided to naturally split one of its branches, no topping required! Not sure what caused it, if I did know would make it happen more often, probably less stressful I would guess than a manual topping. So far so good, genetics seem pretty stable, can't wait to see how things progress!

Well another week is past and wow the buds are really popping on these two! #1 is a full week ahead of #2 by the looks of her. #1 is 14" tall and #2 is about 18" tall. Both girls seem pretty happy, except for a tiny bit of tip burn because I let them get a bit too close to the light for a few days. Once that was corrected tips didn't get any worse. Adjusted some ties on #2 mid week, but #1 is gotten nice and solid and will no longer bend to training so she is in her final position. #2 will probably harden up this week as she gets ready to take on the bud weight. I've said it already in this diary but wow this strain has been a LPT better and more fun to run than my first Auto attempt. Starting with such better genetics making all the difference. Also realising I could probably do 3 plants in 5 gallon, or maybe 4 if I go down to 3 gallon. See how big these girls get, but I'm thinking the stretch will only be another week at the rate buds are forming. Also having the fully automated environment is making all the difference. Last run only fan was automated and humidifier just set and hope you got it right. Using an AC Infinity smart plug this time around (as well as controller 67 for their fans), now the RH doesn't vary by more than 1-2%, really helps me nail the VPD I'm aiming for.

Well another week has come and gone and these two beauties are really starting to fatten up! Even though #1 is short she is a stocky girl! 12" tall and I bet the buds end up being 8-10" long, they're just stacking so well. #2 is a good 6" taller, which I'm kind of surprised about since she is the one who accidently got a huge topping just before flower 🤦‍♂️. Still looking about a week behind but the buds are already really filling in. She is starting to show signs of calcium deficiency (pretty sure anyways) so I'm going to give them a good broad range foliar spray. Will hit them tonight right before lights out. I know it's not recommended by all to spray once in flower, but I picked up a fogger, so you can get much finer particles and it doesn't raise your humidity nearly as much as normally would. Also the fans will just ramp up and take care of any excess 👍. I realised that I forgot the basalt Rock dust on last top dressing, so probably the cause for the deficiency. Speaking of top dressing the girls got their flower top dressing on Day 49 from Seed. Gaia Green All Purpose, Power Bloom, Basalt Rock Dust, and Superfly. Only 1/3 application of All Purpose but full amounts for others.

Another week has come and gone and I'm really starting to see why some people like autos. Can't believe it's only 56 days in and the buds are starting to frost already and the smell is really starting to build! Seems like it's just stay on the top feedings and make sure to water regularly and they do all the rest of the heavy lifting! Much less defoliation and training needed than photos, but then again plants are quite a bit smaller too. My wife sees them and goes "aww look how little and cute they are! Omg are those all buds?". Hahahahaha. Let's keep Slimer happy and fed so she doesn't escape the tent and terrorize us! Happy growing all

Really not much to say this week. Still watering 3L every 3 days. Starting to see the buds swelling and the start of some colour. Some pic of this strain I've seen it can get really colourful! Let's keep on keeping on and hope the last few weeks go smooth 🤞. Happy growing!

Another week has slid by and Slimer is finally starting to show some colour in her leaves! Buds have been getting fatter, and the smell is starting to get nice and stinky. Very happy with how these two are looking. Probably only 2 weeks left, can't believe the end is in sight already! Top dressed (it's late but what the hell) on day 70 just to make sure they have any nutrients available if they need em. Already can't wait to get another run of autos going!

The end is near! #1 is starting to show reds (just 2-3 in some pics) so she will probably be ready before the end of the week. #2 is 90% cloudy 10% clear so maybe early next week. She did seem a week behind #1 from start of flower so no surprise, but who know she may sprint to the finish! When you open the tent you get a fruity/gas smell, makes me think of purple berries. I don't have the best nose though and am bad at describing smells, but it's delicious to say the least! Just keeping the environment locked in and hoping for a clean finish to this great grow.

Harvested Day 79 from Seed Trying the first bud, just a one week cure, and already she's got a smooth hit with a grape/citrus/earthy taste. Smooth but strong on the exhale and quick effects setting in by end of vape. Great headbuzz, nice carefree feelings.

Well this strain has totally changed my opinion on autoflower. Only my second auto run (first one was a disaster in every possible way) and I'll say it was nice and a fun grow! Just make sure your environment and watering is locked. Aside from an accidental topping of one (broke it 2 nodes from top 🤦‍♂️) there were no issues, and even the near disaster came back strong. Nice to have a full run done in 80 Days, and the buds were probably my fatest indoor ones yet! Have a bunch more seeds from Crossbone Genetics, can't wait to try em out.

I’m really excited for this harvest I love the strains terp profile. If they were mine I’d pull it now for my preferred buzz but I’m impatient. Congrats on the fire grow ❤️

@Mr_Maritime, aww thanks I'm pretty stoked too! First time growing this strain, can't wait to try her out. If they aren't chopped in the next 24 hours I'll be very surprised, they're finishing FAST
