Soaked in water for 8 hrs then put directly into 3 gallon fabric pot with Fox Farm Ocean Forrest on 4-13-2023 and sprayed soil with water and root supplements only daily to keep top soil moist.

Being my first time I thought I overfed with nutes even though I reduced them being as I’m growing autos. I’ve since realized I was over watering and I’m not putting a water amount because I don’t have an exact amount. I was using a 2 gallon watering can for my girls but now I’ve since switched to a 2 gallon sprayer for more control. I spray until top soil is slightly over soaked and check daily with my finger down to about 2 inches for moisture in soil and water accordingly. I know this is my first time but I have a little help from a few with experience so it’s going better now :)

My nutes are mixed vía 2 gallons or 7.whatever liters I call it 6 liters since these are finicky autos and it’s easy to hurt them from what I’ve read. I’ve also cut the nutrients to 1/4 of the dose instead of whole dose and at week three they will get 1/2 dose the rest of the way unless y’all suggest otherwise ✌️🏼

I fixed the nute input on here from last week, I put 1.5ml/L although the actual feeding chart calls for 3 but that’s because I’m halving the dosing. Everything is growing great, I can’t complain. They got a little thirsty one day I was late for work and missed a morning watering but they weren’t hurt. These photos are the start of week 3. Every time I add photos it’s the start of a new week I don’t really know how to add them later and don’t want to wait until the week is over to do my journal entry haha she has 5 nodes on her, being that she’s sativa dominant, and healthy (also have 3 other plants not pictured) I wanted to give topping a go so I topped her this week and she didn’t even flinch

Idk if you can tell from the first photo. Something happened. Everything checked out though soil/water/nute ph was all within range, only watered when she needed it. It’s like she was growing into herself and scrunched the fuck up. It was weird, I have 3 other autos growing along side her. 2 the same age and just went into flower, 1 a week behind them and they all look great. Humidity and temps all check out day and night, soil temp everything. The only thing I did do was raise the light from 12 to 18 inches above her and defoliated the folded almost wilted leaves and some others to give light down low. She got a haircut today and I hope she only progresses from here. She was my favorite of the bunch but the gelato I have had taken off like a rocket since topping the same time as this Banner and is doing well. Any insight into what I’ve encountered would be awesome! This is my first grow and I’m just learning as I grow through research and trial and error haha cheers!

First week of flower, she isn’t stretched like my AK or my amazing Gelato she’s the same age as this unknown strain right to her left, the Banner is the bottom right, Gelato too right, AK top left, unknown bottom left. Wish I knew what set my Banner back previous weeks when she had folded leaves and was basically growing into herself nuts she’s healthy again I just think it stunted her. Cheers

Really want to defoliate but everything I’ve read says not to for autos 🤷‍♂️🏻 Banner is bottom right

Don’t defoliate autos that late in flowering, you only risk stressing them unnecessarily. You are doing tremendous for a first timer! Keep the good work and dedication!
