Had to restart one seed. The cotyledons got stuck in the shell and the stem sprouted without them. I soaked the beans in a glass of water until they had a tail then dropped in a jiffy pellet root down. Wasn’t planning a journal when I started so no pics of it but after lurking around here for info I decided I had to document. For the very least so I can look back and see how I fucked up or did well! 😆
Not much to say. I overwatered a bit with half nutes and a little cal mag to soak the “not soil”before the sprout pellets went in. Im realizing the importance of gauging the plant and not just preemptively doing things that don’t need to be done
They got the FIM after the 5th node, didn’t seem to mind one bit. Did some LST alternating sides to give the lower parts some extra light. They seem to be healthy as can be so far!
End of week 4 beginning of 5 update…
I was out of town for about 4 days so before I left I got the plants set up on some AC Infinity self watering pot bases hoping that the roots were long enough to get what they needed. Came back to a healthy FIM recovery and the first pistils showing. Took off a couple of the biggest leaves to let light through and did some LST on the branches that looked ready. Also I raised the light to 24” off canopy and bumped it up from 60% to 70% power.
Definitely flowering now. Did some defoliation and got everything tied down where I want it. I bumped the light up to 80%. Probably keep going up 10% every week if no issues pop up. Just playing the waiting game now!
Cruising along nicely! Buds are forming and everything looks healthy. One of the lady’s stretched up to 19” the other is staying squat at 13”. Kind of strange the short one was the first out of the gate and the strongest looking seedling. Regardless everything looks good! I’m plucking inward facing leaves as needed to avoid shading of lower bud sites. Kind of just staying routine and light about it hoping this doesn’t cause unwanted stress.
Despite all my efforts to keep that short one spread out and separated she sure did all she could to become one massive bud! Smells amazing! Lots of lemon citrus with skunk and pine. Can’t wait to try some out!
All dried, trimmed up and curing now. The short plant ended up yielding just under 3oz dried and the taller one just over 2 so about 5oz between the two of them. It smells soooo good and citrusy! Made my mouth pucker and water when I was packing it into grove bags. Will have smoke report in a couple weeks
