Good growth. Seeing some buds start to form. I have been snapping off fan leaves here and there when theyre directly over a bud, blocking light.
One last MgSO4 foliar treatment when first pistils showed.
Getting a massive humidity spike just after lights turn off. No heat from light causes temp to stay under limit to engage the exhaust. Ordered an additional exhaust fan to run on humidity controller.
Having some algae on the main part of the roots that frequently is above the nute level since I top off every other day. Tried adjusting nutrient cooling system, didnt work, returned to run continuously. Getting ~70F reservoir temps during light cycle. Still using hydro guard and have been spraying H202 on the algae during nute changes every Tuesday.
Hoping to see massive bud growth in the next few weeks. Have 4 weeks remaining until the scheduled final flush. That obviously may change.
@Tweezer, Im contemplating it. I like the immediate plant response you get with nutrients in DWC. I can visually see the roots being oxygenated and any root issues. Less pest, fungus, and bacteria issues. But it is a PAIN to maintain nutrient temps and levels. And as of late, moving the whole plant/lid to do top offs, nutrient changes, PH/PPM samples is tedious, scary, and risky...
I either have to drill a 1" hole and add a plug in the lid to get samples and pump in/out nutrients. Also buy a cheap borescope to see the roots when needed.
Or Im switching to coco.
Im most likely going to have to dry in this same space. My drying tent is only a 3x3 and with the size of these girls I dont think it would be large enough nor easy enough to control enviro conditions. So Ill have a few weeks to decide before the next grow. Also thinking of doubling my grow area and doing 4 plants. The added plants would double my time spent doing nute changes. A lot to think about before mid July when Im done drying.
