Hello and thank you for taking the time to read me ; especially for those who read me over the weeks, i tried to make it worth your time with what i can imagine to be useful thoughts / information.
Also sorry for the super late update, i've been busy and lazy and i harvested in 3 times, the last one was last week. And for the quality of the pictures too, i "learned" - not really - how to use my camera with this diary.
It didn't take me that long with the trimmer, in total 6h and i take my time, also i always cut the tip - or more - to get only valuable trim so it could be much shorter for someone else.
About the plants. It was super leafy but not in a bad way for the biscotti pheno, all the trim is covered in trichome, i barely put anything in the bin. The kushy pheno yields slightly more buds but with much less trim, i liked it less.
I found a few bananas / immature seeds on a biscotti pheno but as stated before i harvested super late. They didn't throw anything with temp higher than 30c so i wouldn't say that they are sensitive.
The mold didn't progress at all on the kushy plant, i only lost 1 cola and i didn't change anything except cutting it - late, the previous update. I don't really know what to think about that.
The yield. I probably already smoked a few dozen grams, it's been 3 week and i smoke a lot. I also harvested grosso modo the same quantity in trim / popcorn than buds so i'm pretty happy with the yield. I've seen better but the cookie pheno can taste like lime soda or lemon sorbet...
About my reservoir experiment ; i couldn't go lower than 0.7, no matter how much ro water i put in so it's safe to assume that it was mostly ballast salt - sodium or something - at the end. And it didn't taste harsh, just a bit heavy on the head. So, with my conditions, draining it at 1.0 with a short flush could have also produced a great smoke 2/3 week ago. Also even at the end, plants can still select what they eat. I'm less and less sure about the pertinence of the npk ratio in drain to waste with 0 cec.
All that you see is all i put in! If somebody want to try it at home, we all use different nutes / water, when the pH becomes really wild it's safe to drain.
See you soon for the harvest - i already did it but i didn't think that the diary would look like this for the final update lol.
@Testefumate, Thanks mate, no it's low pressure aeroponic, i think It's slightly faster for veg and uses less water than most dwc systems. Plus, flat surfaces for an easy cleaning. And it's cheap!
I'll post pictures of the roots at the harvest
